My brother had a SWEET absolutely mint 89 BLACK GT convertible when we lived in New Jersey many many years back - it was right around when the Batman movie came out and we started called it the Dark Knight and it stuck.


Have a black 05 with dark charcoal interior on order so carrying on the tradition:

Actually, Christine was a Plymouth Belveder(sp?) in the movie, but it was called a Fury in the book even though he describes a Belveder.
It's something about the color, the emblems, and the trim.

Its name is ROCINANTE. I had been thinking of her as a lady, but my wife's already jealous. Of both the car and of my owning it. The stallion comment for GTs seems to fit. Of course, Don Quixote's horse was a broken down plowhorse. But in his troubled mind, it was a knight's powerful charger. Yup, the stallion fits...it's a boy! In case you're wondering, I do seem to be tilting at windmills a bit too often these days, and need a reliable steed. Of course it was also the name of the ship that spiraled into the black hole on Rush's Cygnus X-1. Haven't figured out how to get it on my license plate yet (ROCNNTE?) Waxed it to death last weekend and the next day it rained again. The tightly beaded droplets were beautiful. Still haven't got a decent picture taken. :bang:

 

I have named my baby, her name is Rae, short for Rhiannon... Goddess of horses.

Well, its a hard question to answer, don't even have it ordered yet, but I've been working on names for a while(gotta do something as they all go past me on the line!!)Ruby or Tori for a red one, Black Betty for a black one(Ramjam, u gotta know!!), Sweet Pea for LL, and so on. My current ones are Mustang Sally(first latemodel), Baby(first car!) and Frosty(the latest addition, '66 coupe) B)

For my Black GT i was thinking Kristina.....although I won't know for sure until I sit in the driver seat and think about it for awhile.

 

I am holding out for a Special Model of the SN197 so it will be dependant on what model it is. However the 01 Bullitt...Lucielle...I have a thing for blues music, and B.B. King is the man.

 

I think I am calling mine "stingie" because I know that is what my wife is gonna be calling me and the car. Since she will want to drive oh so bad, but yet she hates it when I drive her new Truck.

I am even buying a set of Phat (chrome ?) 18" shoes for her......

And a little more rumble under the hood. Then its going to be all about the "Stingie"...

Just like my nickname, my car's name is adrenalin. Driving it is such a rush.
