Hey guys here are some pictures on my new vert.
Car is loaded (including ICAP) except it has manual trans and the shaker 500.
Some of you might remember that I ordered a coupe on Jan 24th. The dealer told me that I would probably have it by March. After 2 months of calling ERL I decided to go in the dealer to see what was going on. They said it would be at least June or later before my order would be here. Very frustrating!
As we were talking I asked them about the torch red vert I seen on the lot. They said yeah it just got here and it's the exactly the same order as my coupe except for it's a vert. They then said that they wouldn't sell it for A-plan. This was understandable because of the high demand for verts (especially with the manual trans).
I was still pretty interested. So I decided to call the back the next morning to and let them know what I wanted to do. After some thinking I decided I was going to wait for my order because I wanted my A-plan discount. I called them first thing that morning to tell them and before I could say anything the salesman told me the sales manager decided to give me A-plan for the car! Pretty awesome since many of these cars are going for well over MSRP at dealers and on ebay right now.
I absolutely love this car! I really wanted a vert after seeing it at the auto show, but I held off because of the price. I was able to save some extra money so the vert worked for me anyways! Best of all it was the same color inside and out, had every option and that I wanted, and none that I didn't. No one even test drove this car. It had 4 miles on it when I picked it up
Pretty cool to have a vert since my mom and dad owned a 64 1/2 red gt vert and now have a 66 red gt vert. I guess it runs in the family.
Anyway here is a few pics. It's been a little chilly for her to go topless right now, but I'll post those later.
Also for any of you wondering about having a stick...For a guy that never drove a stick I can't get enough of it! I would never buy another mustang without a manual trans! It only took me a couple drives to be confident behind the wheel. Well except for those pesky hills.

Sticks are bad to the bone and a lot of fun, but if you're ever stuck in traffic that moves 5-10 feet every 5-10 minutes! It's probably like having a super bike that can do 220MPH... while stuck in 30MPH zones with a cop behind ya.
It's certainly worth it if you don't live in major traffic, but let the clutch out a couple hundred times and heck.... push the clutch back a couple hundred times and you might find yourself using your right foot on the clutch just to get the blood in your left foot flowing again!

Beautiful car, Jason. Congratulations and enjoy your new wheels!
Excellent color and option choice. Only one thing concerns me. Are you going to pave that driveway? Might get dusty if it hasn't rained in a while. Bet you're itching to drop that top and cruise, eh?
