My poor Sally has a nail in her foot.

I mean she's got a nail in one of her tires.

The tire may be leaking but I kept the nail in for now.

What's the correct air pressure (PSI) for the stock Perrellis on 05 GTs?

32 psi is the correct tire pressure

Get the nail removed and a plug installed. The nail can eventually make the hole bigger giving you an instant flat tire.

If you DO have to plug it, you lose your Z speed rating...... :bang:

False:

PUNCTURE REPAIR LIMITS

TIRE SPEED MAX. NUMBER MAX. REPAIR
SYMBOL REPAIRS DIAMETER

130 mph and over 1 1/4 in. (6mm)
(H, V, Z)

Edit: ok when I hit post my columns arent lining up!
Basically says 1 repair is allowed before tire loses speed rating.

But you can get different answers from different manufactors.

Plug/Patch from inside should be fine. I dont think you would be driving a speed of 130 mph for a sustained period of time anyway.
That would be my only concern.

Ok, i got it patched. But, unfortunately, the puncture was near the sides so it might still leak in which case I'd have to buy a new tire - we'll see.

I had a screw in the shoulder, no one would fix it. Prior on another vehicle I had a nail in the tread, plugged it myself and still holding up just fine.

I went ahead and replaced my tires and rims before I had anticipated, shame to buy another $100.00+ tire then 4 new ones in 6 months when I had planned to upgrade anyway.

How close?

BTW, a proper repair consists of both a patch and a plug, either by itself does not effectively repair the tire.

My puncture was just outside the repairable area shown in the picture above.

I'll monitor the air pressure and if it still leaks, I guess it's another Perrelli Let me guess, $200?
