My redfire '05 GT

Congratulations, I'm getting the same car, but with cloth interior (no IUP) and a spoiler. It does look really classy, can't wait to see the "cleaned up" photo.
Enjoy your ride!
Swimming, swimming...what do we do we swim, swim..

I think it kinda looks naked without a spoiler.

Here are a few pics of my redfire GT all cleaned up.
The car is fantastic. I have an '02 GT that I'm turning in next week (end of lease), so I've been able to compare the two cars over the last few days. The '05 is so refined compared to the '02. The '05's cabin feels so much larger. I could barely engage the clutch on the '02 after driving the '05 because it is so much heavier. I really like the hydraulic clutch in the new car. The ergonomics are superior in the '05, as everything is where it is supposed to be. The cabin is quieter, and I appreciate the little things in the '05 such as the illuminated window switches and door locks, having the steering wheel line up with the seat, and the placement of the shifter. I also really like the MY Color feature. Some people call it gimmicky, but it really adds some style to the cabin at night.
The '05 feels so much more planted. I was one who would have liked to have seen an IRS in the new Mustang, but the 3-link setup is like night and day compared to the old one. The car really stays poised over rough road surfaces, although it’s certainly not a cushy ride. The '05 also accelerates so smoothly compared to the '02, that you barely realize the MPHs rapidly accumulating. The car's on-center feel is also so much better. It also has a much better turning radius. The exhaust note is perfect.
I will say that after driving my '05 GT, which truly feels like a modern vehicle, I was able to appreciate, and kind of missed, the simplistic and somewhat crude driving dynamics of my '02. I'll definitely miss that car, but I couldn't be happier with the '05.
On another note, I've been driving the '05 for two days now, and it has barely even raised an eyebrow around the streets of L.A. Not that I care, as I'd rather maintain a low profile, but I just found it kind of interesting that members in other cities with their '05's have had people follow them home to get a look at the car.
I ordered and bought my '05 GT at Santa Monica Ford for $500 over invoice. I also go a $750 return customer rebate from Ford that brought my price to below invoice. If anyone in L.A. is looking to get an '05, check out Santa Monica Ford. I worked directly with Pauline Cavin, Director of Fleet Sales and Leasing. She is a very nice lady who made the car buying experience stress free and pleasurable. Although she did say she won’t be able to get any in until March ’05, due to demand.

What is this "return customer rebate," CA? Can any return customer get one?
