Well I have been doin alot of thinking about the problems that are being reported on the new Mustangs... The problems reported are to be expected of all new cars... whether they are import or domestic! I am still in highschool and i have alot of friends who have gotten brand spankin new cars.. most of them expensive cars too... Audi a4s, bmws, volvos and volkswagons... and i know many who have had their cars in the shops from the day they bought them pretty much... For example...

I have a friend who received a new volkswagon toureg and the car had to be put in the shop for some reason... the car stayed in the shop for 2 months... finally the people called him and said he was going to need a new car! Hes just now getting his new car 4 months later...

My other friend with an audi a4 has had his car in the shop for 2 months and they keep having to order new parts...

Other friend with volkswagon jetta has had his brand new car in the shop for months also...

So these are only a few instances but these cars arent first year cars like the 05 stang... so problems are to be expected with whatever u buy no matter what year... Do not let the fact that it is a first year car cause u to not get the car of ur dreams because this car is the car that makes dreams come true... Happy Motoring! B)

For the most part, Ford puts out excellent products. Mustangs, T-Birds, and F-150s are very reliable and low maintenance. That some kinks always appear and have to be worked out is a fact. If either one of the Mustang models were what I was waiting for, I would not hesitate, other than to wait a few months for better pricing and rebates. I would not be concerned with the problems because I know Ford resolves them. Ford like any other company wants quality, customer satisfaction, and to make money. Their success depends on it.

I've had 10 Mustangs and 2 F-150s since 1982 with two mechanical failures and three cosmetics complaints. None of us want problems, but we have a tendency to put more emphasis on problems than we do on satisfaction.

spoiled yes maybe their dads all work for the Mississippi Gov... one dad is an attorney general... but thats not the point... their cars had to go into shop a month after ha ving them because of engine failure... the way they drive have nuthing to do with it unless they just burn up the engine which isnt the case cause i know the guys very well and they are safe drivers... so ur entitled to ur opinion... spoiled but not bad drivers

Straight "A"s in high school qualifies you to do well in LIFE...and go to a college of your choice - it does NOT qualify you for a Touraeg. A $50K vehicle should NOT be a bribe to get good grades in school...sorry.

No wonder we have such a spoiled, self-absorbed culture in North America. No values being taught - like working hard and earning your way to college...and a good job...and a nice car...

But, I digress...

The vehicles you mentioned all come from the Volkswagen, Audi, Porsche conglomerate - and VWs and Audis are NOTORIOUSLY unreliable. If they'd been Lexus' you wouldn't be hearing those stories, guaranteed.

The issue here is the cars not whether or not the highschool kids are spoiled, but for the most part if you could afford to buy your kid a nice car you probably would too. Secondly, my family has owned a few fast-food restaurants and we usually don't get people who have money want to work for us, instead we get mostly poor, and let me tell ya, those who are poor can be just as spoiled and self-absorbed as people who have things handed to them on a silver platter, and there are just as many poor spoiled self-absorbed as there are rich....

So... how bout these Mustangs!!!

Did anyone notice the grammar and spelling in the posts? I know some of it is weblsang, like "ur", but "streight"? Thats not a typo, thats uneducated.

As for his post, he is right, you cant expect any manufacturer to be 100% free of problems on all models. Doesnt help the frustration and disappointment of having your brand new $25+K car in the shop for anything not the owners fault.

no, they have not done anything to just be given a car. EVERYONE, for the most part has graduated from high school, so big deal. They should not be given a brand new car no matter what the circumstances. They should have to work for it, and PAY for it themselves, instead of havin their daddy pay for it because he can.

It really makes me mad when people in high school are just given handouts, it doesnt teach the kid anything about life.

Im only 20 and will soon be the proud owner of a Mustang GT, but guess who's footin the bill, ME. I worked full time throughout high school and still graduated with almost straight A's but i did not expect a hand out for it.

Edited quote:

Hmmm, all of these guys have two things in common:

1) They all drive foreign cars
2) They all know Justin

Perhaps Justin has it in for foreign cars ...

Good thing he likes Fords!

SilverBull, your expending a lot of emotion on these posts. Maybe you should take some long deep breaths before posting... how about counting to 10 first???

As for the comments you made... how do you know that these kids are more fortunate than the person you are quoting? You dont, and thus you are ASSUMING, and then saying they are pathetic.

Edited to fix my PATHETIC attempts at typing... LOL

keep in mind you wont always be so fortunate. What happens when your parents quit paying for everything "you" own? You wont know what to do to make a living because you have been so dependant on your parents, so my advice to anyone that may fall into this spoiled category, is become self sufficient, and quit relying on mommy and daddy.
