My new 72" ducted fan bat wing thingy

To the untrained eye this may look like a 72" ducted fan bat wing RC airplane, to others it is my new APR Racing front splitter for my Roush 428R, the other parts are the inlets, fans and custom reducers for the brake coolers for the brake upgrade I will be doing on the car in the next few weeks.

I've always contemplated getting one of their splitters.

Did you draw a template and mail it to them or did they have your front fascia in their system already?

Yes I did, not many calls for a splitter for a 428R, they have them to fit GT's Gt 500's already. If you look at the template that I made and sent them you can see how much of a lip there will be, about 2.5". It will require the front rods to support it, these splitters are capable of 300 lbs of down force.

I'm very interested to see it installed. Especially mounting points underneath and all. I'd like to add this to the CS in the future. I've had their website bookmarked for almost 3 years now but have yet to pull the trigger.

I always take lots of photos, check out my photobucket album in a few weeks, or entertain yourself and check it out now.

Here is a photo of the APR supplied hardware, as well as a photo of my Brembo's, the place I'm having them done at in TX http://www.tiradocustomcoatings.com/ was not happy with the fronts as they said the color on the Red Brembo was incorrect, I have other photos of the calipers and they look like wet paint, way better than I anticipated, they also said that they were able to get the stock rear brakes smoothed out like the fronts, I don't have any photos of them yet, can't Waite, I have been planning the brake upgrade for way too long, oh yea the Stillen J Hook rotors are out getting a coat of Black zink, that way when they wear in the J's will pop out on the rotors in black.

I know the feeling, I've been contemplating changing grille/lights/scoops/splitter on my CS bumper for a year now, and was on a Brembo hunt for just as long

Mine is a little bigger, I added 1" all the way around that one, even on the sides.

Yea, that was a good set up for you I'm now hesitant about talking bout driving the Track Pak deeper into the corner with the added down force

What did they charge you to PC your brembos??

Did they paint the brembo on there or is that a sticker?

How difficult was it to pull all the rubber seals out of them?

They charged $500 to do all 4 corners, the Brembo is painted on with clear over top. The reason they were so much is I got a custom silver and wanted a lot of clear, they also completely rebuilt the calipers with every thing but pistons and they "Completely" disassemble the calipers when they coat them. Their work is considered by most as the best on other car forums and not just Mustang forums. I did a lot of research before I chose them, they call you and keep you in the loop as well as send photos during the process so you can see what they are doing, nice touch, Carlos is a great guy.

Here is a photo of my Stillen J-Hook rotors that I just got back from the coater, did them in black zink, when the pads break in they will rub the zinc off the brake surface leaving the black J's.
