Hey guys well i just needed to vent b/c I am so pissed with this car. Don't gget me wrong i love this car to death, but it is a pain in the hiney, today i started her up and the check engine light is on. And there is a loud clunking coming from the rear suspension. Ok so you say who cares. Well now i have to take it in for the 6TH! time. I have had almost the whole suspension replaced some parts twice, the trunk cover for the lights, the gas tank, the side vinyl, they had to repaint the bumper b/c the trunk was scratching it, and still is so now they have to do it again, and now this, i dont know what to do it has to go in at least once a month and sometimes twice. I love the car to death its my baby, but being without a car all the time is pain, i might have to let her go. Sorry but just had to vent, hope you all are fairing better than i am.

Tyler

Tyler, sorry so much trouble. I guess Im lucky I have no problems so far. With the exception of a paint chip (I hear this is a problem) Hopefully they get everything worked out for you. Im a former ford mechanic and It disheartens me when I hear stuff like this.

It's not a good feeling having a car you love being troublesome. It is heartbreaking. Im rooting for you to get her perfect.

So if this all warranty work, shouldn't they give you a loaner?

I have tried to find a way to enact the lemon law but it has to be the same problem 3 times

Your right, it has to be the same problem 3 times. But I think that there is another clause that says if its in the shop for more than a certain amount of time too. You might wanna check that one.

Tyler,

I feel your pain. I've had my car into the dealer as many times as you've had it. Of course you have to understand with a new car out for the first year, your bound to have some problems, but not all the time. I thought my car was a total lemon. But I love her to death. Had her in for a total of 7 times for 7 different problems, and soon to be going in for the 8th time to get the new Anti-Theft Motion Sensors replaced when they finally arrive. Don't give up on her, she'll get better!

I know ALL TOO WELL what you all are going through. I have had one issue after another with mine since the day I bought it. It has been in the shop over a dozen times for the Shaker 1000 system not working. It has radio number SIX in it now and needs number seven. It has had a new gas tank, battery, alternator, strut part and a few minor things that I should have addressed. This has been above and beyond frustrating! I have contacted Ford who engages the Better Business Bureau in their Dispute Resolution Program (BBB Autoline). They act as an impartial third party to try and keep these cases out of court and come to a resolution. Ford ended up offering me ONE month's payment in exchange for all my troubles. I rejected their offer and went ahead with "arbitration" with the BBB. Had my session yesterday. You plead your case to an impartial third party arbitrator and he/she makes a decision based on the facts presented. If the customer is still not satisfied you may then take Ford to court. I have not heard the verdict of my arbitration yet. I had documentation of each of my service visits (I didn't have them until I requested them from the dealership b/c they were never offered to me) and PROOF of what went on. Ford represented themselves in letter form, with a very very discounted account of events. If I hadn't of had my documentation, I wouldn' t have had a leg to stand on. My point in saying all this is...if you're not satisfied CALL FORD and get this process going. We have paid TOO MUCH for these cars to be experiencing all this dissatisfaction and frustration. I didn't drop 30K to have a headache, I did it to have a car to enjoy and this has been far, far from the case![/FONT]

As far as loaners go, according to the warranty and FoMoCo, they DO NOT have to give you a loaner and most of the time do not! No offense to anyone who drives/owns a Focus or Taurus, but when I have been lucky enough to get a loaner, this is what it has been. I'm thankful to have something to drive and not be "afoot," but the fact is, I didn't buy one of those, I bought a Mustang.

Generally a Loaner will not be offered, you must ask for it. It will most likely be a Focus, but if its like the one I had.....HEATED SEATS!!!
