My Car=Meguiars Model, Again!

Today the same guy that shot my car for the packaging of Meguiars new claybar kit came by my work today to shoot my car for their upcoming catalog. For right now it is just a close up of me holding the buffer on the hood, so the shot will be in tight on the buffer, hood and some of my windshield in the catalog; but he took some full shots of the car to show Meguiars to see if they would like to use it for a wider shot showing the entire car.

I am waiting for copies of his pics but in the mean time I had a coworker take some pics with my camera of the photoshoot so I can share, sorry nothing to exciting and the model isnt much to look at...lol, but its what I got for now.

Full Gallery:

some highlights:

The sky was overcast which is perfect for the shoot, but created a really odd reflection on my hood.

Congrats (again).. So how does it feel being a hand model?

I think your C/T needs to be: "Meguiars Uses Me"

Your car looks great, but then I'm partial to black. Is that one of those GEF splitter/spoilers on the front of you car?

I never noticed this before, but the clear corners on a black car look outstanding.

Awesome finish on that car. May I ask your secret? How did you get it to shine like that, and what stuff/equipment did you use?

first off thank you everyone for the great compliments. whats really wierd that I just noticed is that I look pale in those pics, for some reason the camera kind of white washed me at certain angles, I have a much darker tan than that...lol

killer thanks, want an autograph? oh wait I cant I might hurt my hand and end my career...lol

actually on Monday for the next shoot I will be in the pics standing next to the car, dont know if they will use those or just the car solo though

nope the car is stock as far as the body is concerned, although they are gonna do a full shoot on Monday where the car will be used for wider full shots in the catalog, so I am currently working on wheels for that, but I might end up just borrowing wheels for the day since its gonna be difficult getting wheels between now and then.

I use only Meguiars on the paint, a series of stuff, but the basic routine of the up keep after a wash is:

Show Car Glaze #7-2 coats
High Tech Yellow #26, wipe off then let car sit in garage over night without touching it to allow the wax to really soak in, then apply a second coat
Synthetic Sealant #21-1 coat
then a final wipedown with Final Inspection #34

but thats just the basic care of the car

woh, man, looks pretty different with foglights down below! Glad Ford didn't do that That's so lame that they have to photoshop the car, it's lame because Ford would probably sue? only in America... :-\ Bummer they had to chop your car up for the final image!

Pretty cool stuff, how did that come to be, did they just contact you, or did you know someone at meguiars?
