Two weeks ago when I checked it was 8/22. Yesterday I checked and it has moved up to 8/8. I read something on TMS about Ford doing builds of 50% auto and 50% manual on the GT's so I wonder if that helped me. Anyone else get their build date moved up or pushed back?

Mine is an 06 GT Vert, auto, UIP, side air bags, anti theft, stock wheels.

The ERL first said mine was scheduled for the first week in Aug. Then it was pushed back to the week of Aug 8. No matter, it's still right around the corner!

I just hope mine isn't one that's get locked in "quality hold" for a long time. I don't mind their going over the car with a fine-tooth comb (in fact, that would make me happy!), but not if it's going to be delayed a month or so because of it.

Where do you go to check on your build date? I've only got a VOC and my dealer doesn't tell me diddly.

I started with a week of 8/22 build date. Then it was moved to 8/8, then 8/15, and now it is back 8/22

Beau, you need to call VOPC (vehicle order processing center) and have your model year, order # (four digits) dealer code# (5 digits) body type (mine is T85, for example)

The plant is not building any Mazda's right now with few skips in the line so they have been building only Mustangs. They cannot build back- to- back V8's. Something about engine decking. Since there are no Mazdas running right now, maybe that is the reason some of you are getting new build dates. Just a thought...

Where did you get your info on no Mazda's? Autonews is reporting they are still building... at least last week. http://www.autonews.com/files/prod.pdf

But its good to see that many ponys coming out....

They only make Mazda 6's at the Flat Rock plant and they were not running last week. That's right, I just meant no Mazdas rolling out of the Mustang plant in Flat Rock. Today might be another story. I'll check with my reliable source!

Called ERL tonight, I think she's on crack because I had to make several calls to her to get her to understand my request but the answer was good because she said my 06 will be built the week of 8/1 (although I've heard 8/8 is job one?). Only problem is this was "as of 7/1". I thought they updated that system a little more frequently!

Right - Mazda 6's are made at the AAI plant with the Mustangs... whole plant was down the first 2 weeks in July... nothing was coming out... they fired back up on Monday 7/18.
