It goes to the top and comes to the flat part you are talking about... they did a good job with the curved surface.

Not sure what your talking about on the second question, but I will say it's only on the exterior surface.
And they told me they could not wrap the vinyl around the edges so if you look close you can see where they made their cuts on the vinyl.

The passanger side is perfect, but they cut a mm or 2 short on the driver side of the panel.

All in all though it's great, and it only cost 50 bucks.

Like I said before in another post, it's not paint, so it's not perfect.

But it will go to paint in a couple of months.

Thanks for all the feedback guys!!!

Thanks, that does answer my questions. Was wondering if it wrapped around the edges, now I understand. I think some other folks have not done the curved part at the top and it made theirs look like it was not tall enough, not quite right. Yours looks great, thanks again.

Looks great. Are you going to black out the spoiler when you get the paint done? Are you going for a 1970 BOSS / Mach I look?

No problem Drew...

Lewis, yes I am also going to paint the spoiler flat black.
Not really going for the Mach 1 or Boss look on purpose, but I think thats what is in the process of happening.

But, now that I saw that molded ducktail in another post, things might be changing... however I can't even think of how much that molded ducktail will cost.

You guys can also buy the vinyl blackout on ebay. I got mine for about $25 shipped and it fit great. I didn't have to remove the emblem to put it on either. It was really pretty easy to put on. I put a link below for the seller I got I got mine from. I'll post some pictures tommorrow if it doesn't rain.

Whoa, that looks really good. Maybe I'll see about getting that done this spring or early summer when I see about having my stripes completed down the trunklid and bumper.

I noticed those as well. The guy said they were gloss black with a small hole in the center. Idea was to strech the hole over the emblem and then apply the vinyl. Would really like to hear a report from you on how that goes and lots of pics please!

Actually I have the stripe kit, I just don't have the cash to get it installed right now. I love the 70 Boss 302's, my favorite mustang ever (besides my 05 GT). I also plan on adding the front spoiler and getting a stock rear spoiler painted flat black. Of course my GT is redfire (definatley not painting it yellow). I'll post pictures if I ever get it done.

Looks Nice! I'm going to do the same with paint, but need some opinions on paint type. So, I'm going to paint glossy black Shelby stripes from bumper to bumper and want to paint the rear mid section too. Should I paint the rear mid section glossy or satin black? Thanks.

I like it. It's a nice variation on the rear end treatment. You may start a trend here; your photos will probably encourage others to do the same! Good work. Glad you had the badge removed before laying down the vinyl. I don't think it would have looked as good if you cut around it.

Here are pictures of mine. You stretch the vinyl around the emblem, you don't have to remove it. The fit aroud the emblem is very good it isn't 100 percent but about 99. Their is a little space on the passenger side just under the emblem. You won't notice anything unless you are looking for it. It doesn't show up in the pic. As you can see the panel isn't quite flat black or gloss, it's more like semi-gloss. But it works well. It was very easy to install.
