My appreciation to themustangsource.com

I just wanted to let everyone know how much I appreciate this site. As some of you may have read Doug with Bamachips is coming to Oklahoma City, Ok in January 2008. We obviously posted it here first. The Mustang Source is my first choice of Mustang sites, but I occasionally surf a few other sites as most of us do. I probably don't have a total of 50 posts on three or four other sites. Doug is talked about and highly respected on those sites as well, but when I posted the OKC dyno tuning on several other sites I was told by their moderators that I couldn't post about the bamachips tuning because it was free advertisement and wasn't allowed. I posted this in their regional events or regional chat sections.........what gives. One site advised me why they censored my post. I was told that because Bamachips isn't a sponsor I was prohibited from mentioning an event in which they (Bamachips) are involved. This is total BS! I told them they were limiting information their members might want to be aware of. I won't mention the site, but it's initials are Modular Fords

Sorry for the long post, but this site is truely the best one on the web and I can't even begin to thank everyone who has helped me on here. I hope I've helped a few others in return. Brad you have a hell of a site and I appreciate your willingness to allow us to post regional events without being told not to or told we can't. I won't comment on any other sites, some were gracious, but most were a$$holes. Donna, if you are reading this, don't worry I'm not talking about BMC. You all were very gracious.

If anyone is still reading this thanks for your time.

Rob in Mustang, OK

In the long run, that type of policy only hurts the members of the site that won't post the info. Got my first tune from Doug and he spent alot of time in emails, etc getting me up-to-speed on stuff.

I think I know what site your talking about.....I am not into bashing other sites...but that one is rediculous...the format of the site is hideous..and the rules are as well annoying. I understand there are rules to keep order..but talking about a good experience and maybe mentioning a tuner...come on....

This really is a superb site and I'm on here daily. I do, of course, frequent a couple of UK sites, but the sheer volume of members and threads on here is amazing.

Keep up the great work

Thanks Rob. I agree with you. This site does Rock and has always had the best and most reliable info from my standpoint. This site is a role model for my site, and I can only hope that we can mirror the hospitality shown by TMS administration. They do an awesome job here keeping things in check. Its alot of behind the scenes work to make a site successful and these guys have it figured out.

Hope you all have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!!

I've ditched most of the other sites because they don't have the information I find here.

Plus you guys are nicer so that makes it even better.

I rarely frequent any other Mustang forum, but when I do, all I can think of is how they could be more like TMS!!!

This is a greta site! Everyone has always been very helpful and Ive gotten tons of useful info from the members here. Id never have done half the stuff I have to my car without all the knowledge and info from the people here who have done it before me. The only complaint I have about the site is it makes you spend a whole lot more money on your car (well I guess thats not necessarily a bad thing ).

Hmmm...The only other forum I know of the Yellow Mustang Registry...

Other than that forum, I only post here... Why go elsewhere!

Everybody that knows anything is here, and always willing to help each other!

We are all Mustang Brothers right?

Rob, I can't say it better. There are only 2 websites that I have web address decals of on my windows, that they are TMS and Bad Mustangs Club. While this site has the BEST information in terms of modifying and add-ons for our cars (by far). Bad Mustangs Club has the BEST source for club events and is the BEST site for comroderie like no other site I have been on.

Here on TMS, if you have the smallest question about a mod that you've only seen on 1 car, chances are someone on here will know about it. That is why TMS is so great. Everyone wants to help eachother out. For the comroderie, with Bad Mustangs Club, its awesome where you can find a website that everyone enjoys going to shows, not for the awards, but just for the fun of being with like minded people who all love the Mustang. We all look forward to the next event to hang out at. Our region did over 40 car shows this past season (and that didn't include 3 days at Carlisle and 7 days at Mustang Week). To me (and Donna can vouch for this) BadMC is a true family atmosphere. My regional members are a second family to me. We all feel the same over there.

There are many different websites out there for our cars, but IMO, Ttese are the 2 best Mustang sites on the web BY FAR!!! Thanks Brad and thanks Donna! Keep it up.

If it’s the same site I think it is I and a few other V6 guys were banned for questioning a moderator about the sites practices and how the dealt with someone posting non-sponsored information.

I had no clue you weren’t allowed to post positive feed back about vendors I purchased from that were not sponsors of that site.

My car arrived today. The mods in the signature are already in process at my dealer. I feel like the car is going to be much more enjoyable due to the information and threads here. While I've looked at a lot of other sites -- this one seems to have been most authoritative and helpful. I am, however still looking for the magic brake upgrade with 4 piston calipers that will fit my factory wheels without spacers. In the meantime, we're using Bullitt pads in front and GT500 pads in back. Thanks to everytone for your help -- and Merry Christmas.

There are only 2 sites I post on - here and the ford tech part of the blue oval forums. This is the best site by far - people are genuinely friendly and there's very little if any immature bashing that so frequently happens on other sites.

Being that I am fairly uneducated (or I used to be before I came here and started reading, reading, reading!), I tend to ask questions that are probably pretty stupid really and believe me when I say I have been majorly slammed on other sites for asking them. It got to the point where I just stopped posting because I never knew what I was going to get back. Then one day as a total newbie I posted a question here about purchasing the 2006 GT I have now. I couldn't believe how many of you were right there now with advice and questions, hanging with me through the process and even Tony Alonso willing to go look at the car for me. Unreal. What a great bunch of people you are. And no one ever tries to make me feel stupid when I ask my "dumb blonde" questions, of which there have been quite a few!

The only problem is now you have created a monster who can no longer just drive her car. Noooo, it has to be more than that and soon enough the nerve to start with the mods will happen, I see that coming. And it will be because of your motivation for sure.

Oh gawd now I'm gonna cry

Have a great holiday everyone and stay safe.

Paul,
Where can we see some pics of your Stang? I get a kick out of seeing Mustangs in European locations.
