Ok all, I have a question.

I had a muffler delete done on my 05 Stang a while back. Now I find that I am moving to Las Vegas after the beginning of the year.

Will the delete cause me any problems with emissions or the fuzz??

Thanks

Last time I checked, removing the mufflers is illegal in every state, so ya, the chances of you having a problem could be pretty good. Depends on the cop.

A "delete" option implies is done by the manufavturer, like the current rear spoiler or a heater or radio in the 60s. YOU had the muffers removed...big difference!

When you re-register the car you will probably fail the visual and the emissions run test, not just in NV but also in OK whenever/wherever it's resmogged. Either put on the (hopefully) saved parts or replace it with 50 state legal mufflers/exhaust. If you left the Cats on you might squeak by if it's not too loud.

Yea... you'll most likely not get a rousing welcome from Metro (PD)!

I have lived in Las Vegas for 17 years now, don't worry about Metro PD ... They don't care.... My car is as loud as could be, Long tube header's, off-road H-pipe and Magnapacks...I also ride a super loud Harley Davidson... The cop's here have much more to worry about than loud pipes, such as sky rocketing crime, gang's etc. I would put everything back on for smog check purposes if you don't " know anyone".

It still scares me to think that Metro has too many other things to worry about. I remember back when my bro graduated from Bonanza and McCarthy was Sheriff... back then Metro never had anything to do other than bully people. Sigh... times have changed I suppose!!

Yeah, times they are a changing... :bang: Add to that "there is a new sheriff in town" and 4,000 people a month moving here....= Crime... :notnice:

On the bright side I pay my taxes, work hard and occasionally blast my car or bike around and I don't get "hassled"...
