The only list of opinions I care about is one that is comprised of people who actually own them. Who cares what a bunch of automotive journalists and self-congratulating industry shills has to say.

I know the shortcomings of the motor in my GT compared to other makes. If it was as big a problem as some whiners make it out to be on that forum link I would never have bought the car.

The most I might ever do to mine is a CAI and a tune in a few years. RIght now the package in my car is very satisfying and the most fun thing I've driven since my old 79 Z28 beater.

Screw Wards!

I find it funniest that their entire arguements are based on HP. They ingore the fact that the mod motor has 3/4 of their displacement, Variable Valve SOHC cam technology, a 3 valve combustion chamber design. I guess they can't see passed what they don't want to see. I agree that the LSx family of engines are pretty **** good... but so far as calling them technologically advanced, It's kinda like strapping an Ipod onto your grandmother and calling her a techno-geek.
