A 2005 mustang took first in its class, and 18th overall, in the one lap of america rally. Its a mostly stock 05 driven by Car And Driver contributing editor Tony Swan and co pilot Mary Seelhorst.

It's interesting that when Car & Driver says something uncomplimentary about Mustangs they get flamed on evry Mustang web site because they're biased against the car but when they do something noteworthy with one we're qujit to point it out. Oh well.

Still, that's a very impressive accomplishment.

The car looks sweet. And I think those look more like the FR500 wheels than the GT500 wheels. Just my thoughts. I could be wrong. The angle of the spokes just looks more FR500-ish to me.
