Anyone have any info on this? I see they made one for the SN95, and it was about $1700. Pretty cool if you ask me.

I think Ford offers this also. It's called a convertible (just being smart...)
Seriously, this is pretty cool. Expensive, but cool

That's the appeal to me. I wish it would've been avail from the factory though, (like a 'Vette) I would've ordered it then.
I agree it looks better than the vert. Before the '05 was introduced I wanted a vert REAL bad. Then I saw it and how much it looked like an old BMW vert and I couldn't bring myself to buy one. That and I would have lost my favorite thing about the body. The '66 Shelby quarter window.

When the top is off...doesn't that compromise the structural integrity somewhat? At least a convertible is designed for a top down, as is a Corvette coupe.

I don't know if the convertible has any extra reinforcements or not.. (?) something to think about though. I would think the quarter panels attaching to the roof still provides a significant amount of rigidity through the twisties. :drive:

Yes, BMW. There's just something about the straight lines of the body when you look at the profile. That's just what it reminds me of.
And that's another reason Ford should have put the "hips" or "shoulders" on the '05 like the original Mustang had.
