Mustang Stripes
Mustang Stripes
Is there any way to extend my stripes down the front bumber and rear? They were put on when the car was built but i was wondering if there was any way to extend them without buying a whole kit. My dealer said he could paint the rest but wouldnt that look tottally different?
Ford doesnt put those on.
Dealers do it or have it done.
Why don't they stripe the car all the way? It looks really dumb to stop at the hood and spoiler.

I agree, if you're going to stripe it, go all the way. For the price of that kit above, you might want to look into the Baltimore Street Mods stripe kit for a little more, to make sure it matches.
and to answer your question i would redo the stripes with BaltimoreStreetMods.com, they have an awesome collection of colors and you choose the width and if you want pinstripes on the sides
I totally disagree. The stripes aren't supposed to split the entire car in two - I think they look childish when they extend below the spoiler and down the bumpers. How long do you want to look like you are driving a 16 year-olds car? Imagine that the bumpers are chrome, like the ORIGINAL mustangs were, instead of body-colored vinyl, and that the space between the tail-lights is blacked out. You wouldn't put stripes down a chrome bumper, would you? Just because the bumpers are now body colored doesn't mean they should be treated the same as the rest of the car!Of course, YMMV!

How does it look childish to finish the stripe job instead of leaving it unfinished?
Also blackout panels do not match LeMans stripes at all, period.
Does Ford stop the LeMans stripes at the bumper on the FR500C?
When I see a car with half a stripe job it reminds me of the Mexican guys driving around their little 4-banger hoopties with those slapped on stripes which stop at the hood and trunk.

My stripes go from the very front to the very back, overlapping the trunk lid AND spoiler. I think Mustangs with stripes that stop at the hood and trunk look unfinished and a cheap job. Of course, its personal opinion, but I also don't like how thin they look. I went with wide stripes and only two pinstripes on mine. Total job took 7 hours.
