I thought I'd compile a conversion list for people who are reading this site for the first time, or are old school Mustang owners and are new to the late-model Mustang scene.
Code:
New School       Old School
muzzy = stang, but how is 2 syllables easier than one?
vert = convertible for lazy typers
sick        =    ultra cool
SE = Special Edition [typing patience again, I think]
ricer (car) = import tuner car or any car with the import-tuner look.
ricer = driver or owner of a ricer auto
mods = modifications OR the Moderator of the forum (context!)
bullitts = Torq Thrust style wheels
Bullitt = green Mustang with Torq Thrust's
chip (verb) = to modify the computer with a new chip
chicks = chicks (at least we agree on something)
fart can = oversized useless exhaust tip, aka Folger's Can
IRS         =    Independent Rear Suspension
Internal Revenue Service = IRS
NOS = Nitrous, Gas or "the bottle", aka Nitrous Oxide

One that I thought we should be using here:

squid = stupid newbie with too much horsepower (from sports bikes)
Send me your others to add to the list. This is supposed to be humorous folks, don't get your panties in a bunch.

Ricer actually has less to do with the car being an import or not, and more to do with it having certain aftermarket parts.

The only reason you'd call a domestic vehicle a ricer is that he's doing the import-tuner thing, right?

I'll modify it, though.

Basically anything with tacked on aluminum wings, unpainted fiberglas ground effects, useless scoops, neon underbody...you get the idea. This would be the choice ride of a ricer.

Would extreme form over function be considered rice? I would think so right?

Tuner is the good version of Ricer...someone who actually puts useful aftermarket parts on a car

Uh, so, may I ask?

Why "muzzy"? You are shortening a 2-syllable word into, what, 2 syllables?

They are "Stangs" to everyone who owned the 65-73 models. And to most people who drive the 79-2004 models as well.

Muzzy sounds like an Australian nickname for a piece of female anatomy...

I can't bring myself to call it a STANG.

It sounds like a redneck talking about getting bit:

I got STANG by a bee...

Ricer : Any car with giant spoilers, crazy body kits, euro lights and NO power. Oh don't forget coffee can exhaust tips.

I had thought "ricer" was the lazy form of the old-school term "rice burner" -- a derogatory term used to refer to Japanese "cars," specifically the early models that Toyota, Datsun, and Honda tried to pass off as vehicles. For that reason, I cannot bring myself to call any American car a "ricer," even if it has all of those useless add-ons; those I call "stupid."
