Well, this has to be about the best weekend I've had in a long time. Friday was Pony Trails, a 3 hour drive around the Mount Rainier area. About the prettiest scenery and the best weather we could have asked for. I'd have to guess about 300 Mustangs, give or take, participated. We drove around until we stopped at the LeMay car museum, one of the best collections of automobiles anywhere in the world. We also got the treat of going to the LeMay house, where they keep the best cars in the collection. Awesome day.

Today was even better! The Sunday show had, by unofficial count, over 1,300 cars there. There had to be at least 75 Shelby models of various models. It was awesome to be in the presence of that many wonderful cars. And, yes, I did take third in the 2005 Coupe division. Given the quality of the competition, I was happy with a third. There were 30 or so 2005's there, not counting the Shelby models.

Unfortunately, the promised appearance of the '07 Shelby Cobra failed to materialize, but that was the only disappointment of what had to be one of the best weekends of my life. Roundup is an awe-inspiring experience, anyone who can make next years - go! You won't be disappointed.

Hey, congrats on the placing!! That's GOT to feel good. Did you, or anyone for that matter, as far as you know, get down to the dyno with an '05? I saw the Grabber Blue Maverick and the Yellow Cyclone make pulls which was fun. Wish I had the time to watch the little Cobra make it's pull.

Again, nice showing!

Thanks, all! Yes, it did feel good. This was our third show, and I did have a lot of fun. It was almost more fun to look around at all the other cool cars! There really was almost too many of them. I couldn't spend as much time with each one as I would have liked.

Sonic98gt,

No, I didn't go down to the dyno. I had just had my car dyno-tuned last weekend, so I didn't see the need. I think one or two of the '05's went down there, I thought I saw them pulling into it, anyway, but I can't say for sure.
