Here is a teaser image of the Mustang Quick Reference Guide. The next post will contain a zip file that has the Ford *.pdf document. It covers many of the questions that have been asked out here, then again it leaves many questions not answered. Ford ..... bring it on !!!!!!!!!!!!!

You are most welcome This stuff is fun to read. Looks like we have to have to engage the parking lights or headlights before we can turn on the foglights. It's interesting that the fogs are activated by pulling out the headlight switch. Hope that it is easy to modify this to allow the fogs to be turned on independent of the other lights.

Now this is the coolest thing I've seen posted today. I love this kind of stuff! Thanks os121!

I won't get to bag an '05 Stang...more like an '06 or '07...but this is the kind of drool-inducing stuff I love to torture myself with.

Hey cool, the book says it comes with a CD-ROM. Wonder what that looks like?

At least the car lets you turn the fog lights on when only the parking lamps are engaged. The lame Toyota-engineered Pontiac Vibe my wife has only allows the fogs to come on when the headlights are on! Idiot design. Everyone knows roaming around at sunset with the parking lights + fog lights on is just tooooooooo sweet looking for words.

Whoa, I just read something else cool about the MyColor gauge display. No matter what color you have set for the background illumination on the instruments, if one of your gauges is reading in a "warning zone" -- such as the coolant temp reading too high -- the whole background color on that particular gauge turns red! Sounds simple, but little stuff like that is really cool. Sounds like "Darth Vader's bathroom," as Michael Knight once said...

Yes, but if you have red as a normal backgound color (best for night conditions because it does not cause night blindness) you would not notice the warning red.
maybe it flashes red?

I found it while stumbling around Ford's website. I'm excited because you can tell they are slowly building up their portfolio of owner documentation as we approach the Job 1 date.

Now .. if I could only locate those $3000 rebate certificates for previous Mustang owners ...

my guess is that u could probably set that so that if u are using red that when a guage warning is indicated that that guage will turn another color so its doing it job still so that u would know about the problem.

man i read that whole thing and i think im in love with the '05 so high tech and yet so simple to use all at the same time... its such a beautiful thing to read. beautiful i tells yah, simply beautiful.

i also noticed something that i would change out. the temp control center has a replacement thats all digital that u can get in some of the F-150's models. but the base F-150 uses the very same temp control center so id prob head down to my local Ford dealer (only about a mile downt he road from my house) and order that part, so that id be able to get it installed (altho im sure its not hard to do the upgrade myself) by the dealer so that i wouldnt possibly void the warrenty.

See if you look at the temp control center in these two F-150 interiors you will see what I'm talking about.

With the temp control center the 2005 mustang has:

With the digital temp control center that I mentioned about getting installed at the dealer if I got a 2005 mustang:
