Grantsdale when did they stop production of the previous style and how many did they build of that design this year? I really didn't pay attention to the old style car.

I would guess we are around 10,000 - 15,000 05s right now.

Be nice. Not everyone knows the exact day the changeover happened.

... its the whole year ... you don't need to know the exact date to answer the question he asked ... he asked "is it just 05s or both" and it states right on the sheet that its the whole year production ...

Grantsdale since this is updated weekly I wanted to figure out how many 05's were built. What do you mean "I don't need to know?" Need no but I would like to track this. Grantsdale you haven't updated your car It says you drive a Taurus, I know that can't be true!

No I've got a little beater explorer now ... I'm just too lazy to update it... the next car that goes there is my 05.

I meant you didn't need to know what the date 04 production stopped was to know the document included both 04s and 05s. If you want to track it, hey, have a blast.

Try this: http://web.archive.org/web/20040303202714/.../files/prod.pdf

It shows 28,999 as of the beginning of march... so i would add probably 20,000 more to the end of production two months later ... thats basically 50,000. That would leave 19,000+ cars. Thats right in the middle of the production range, and probably the best estimate you are going to get.

The 05 production is shown under the Auto Alliance section, not the Ford section.

Just under 10k units produced based on that report date.

Maverstang, Great catch. Thank for your help and welcome.

I see where it says 9,901 produced this year as of 10/16/04. How is that possible when we have been told they have many lots the size of football fields full of these cars. They were running out of room and had to ship to allow production to continue. Would that not be more than 9,901 units?
