As said, go find another dealer. It is totally up to the dealership management, though. I found one in '05 for my GT when many dealerships were charging over MSRP for the Mustangs.

It can be applied to any car that is being sold during the promotion. The cash back only applies to cars being delivered during those dates, not anything being ordered. Plus, if I know Ford, the incentives are going to get better after 1/2/07.

It's a tri-state area/New England thing. About 2 months ago, I called 10 different dealers in CT and none would accept x-plan on a GT. If you find one in Jersey that will accept x-plan, send me a pm because I need to start a list for when I finally get around to ordering in a few months (I want to time it so the car is delivered in early spring, no point in having it delivered in January to take up a garage spot).

On a side note - example A-plan pricing for the Edge is now available on the site. A $26,000 car gets a $2000 discount with the A-plan. No X-plan example was listed.

EDIT: Added more information above.

What is this site? I recieve the discount through my Grandfather and he doesn't even have a computer.

The Ford AXZ plan website:

http://www.axz.ford.com

To register, you need the Ford employee's name, hire date and last 4 digits of their SSN. Then you can get access to the information about A/X/Z plans and even browse dealer inventories and see the exact plan prices.

I got mine when the dealers were still charging over msrp for the manual GT's, but I didn't use the X-Plan. Dad is good friends with dealership manager, so that helped. I paid $500 over dealer cost, minus $500 college grad discount. Dealer made $500 on the sale, I got the car at dealer cost. Not to mention the manager had told the finance manager to "hook me up" and I'll never forget that guy sweating his butt off while working up the paperwork. Ford wouldn't allow him to go any lower on the rate. Helps to have friends in high places!

go to Ford of Englewood, NJ right off of Route 4. I got mine on the X-plan from there! Talk to Tom Cassidy (gotta help him out he is a fellow Mets fan!) He'll set you up and is straight forward to work with. PM me and I'll give you my name to drop to him - I bought an 07 Black GT off of him on Sept 7th, which I ordered June 30th.

Yes x-plan is available and you are entitled to all rebates and pay no dealer fee.

I also got a GT manual, ordered in January of 2005 on Xplan. There weren't many dealers willing to accept the X plan in my area, you just have to search till you find one. If there aren't any in your area, make a road trip, the drive home will be fun in your new car!

X-Plan works on all Mustang GTs even on factory orders. But it is up to the dealership.

You will pay:
X-Plan price
Undercoating (if you want it)
Tax
Registration/Title Fees

In order to calculate X-Plan price on a new Ford, use the following formula:
(0.996 * Invoice) + $75

This invoice price is NOT what you find at Edmunds or MSN/KBB/NADA. Edmunds is way underpriced, and MSN/KBB/NADA do not account for the fuel surcharge and advertisement/marketing adjustment).

If you go to www.forddirect.com, their dealer invoice is the exact dealer invoice sans fuel surcharge. I used forddirect and then accounted for the $5.10 fuel surcharge and my calculated X-Plan price was the same as the dealer's X-Plan price down to the cent.

When I bought mine (05 GT 'Vert) in early March 06, I got A less 3000.00 dealer cash, ended up spending just over 25K. Keep searching and good luck!

yeah pretty hard to find dealerships willing to take xplan back in '05, but now that we're on '07 models i'm sure you can find more than just the dealership i found. what i did was e-mail all of them at the same time so that they all saw i sent it to like 10 other dealerships, and asked for x-plan thru a factory ordered GT, 5 spd. about 5 of them responded back they would. Ford of Englewood, NJ was definitely good though (thru Tom Cassidy). thats my advice for any1 in the Tristate area. its about 3 minutes from the George washington bridge
