In Dec.04 iussed of Mustang Enthusiast Mag. test drive the Lime Green 05 Mustang GT, In MEM they love the Mustang GT , here what they said
(Now,for reason I can't explain the GT's powerplant felt immensely more impress once Ihit the race track. The 4.6V8L kept giving it up thoughout the rpm range)

No,the autos. GTs ran 5.0 sec. 0-60mph and Mans. GTs ran 5.1 sec 0-60mph
V6 4.0 auto. ran 6.8sec 0-60mph And V6 Man ran 6.9 sec 0-60mph

The secret is slipping the clucth you keep the revs high with the throttle and use the clutch to control rear wheel spin. Of course this wears out the clutch faster which is why in a lot of the mag test of hot rodded tuner type comparisons they fry the clutch.
