Went by a Ford dealer yesterday (1/25) and he showed me a fax just received which stated new orders placed wouldn't arrive for 5-6 MONTHS!! I read the memo myself, the salesman handed it to me; it was "official".

Just talked to my salesman about my November order. He says hopefully things will start to speed up now, but new orders are being told July at the earliest. If I was to order now, I'd just wait until I could order an '06. (for resale value, not collectability (sp?))

If you order now it will take 5-6 months to get a GT because the demand for parts is more than the supply, and now you will have the conv. that need the same parts for them too.
I order a touch red GT loaded 5-speed man. with polished bullitts Dec 13 should be built in Feb.

Is this just for the coupe or the verts as well. I ordered my convertible back in Dec so hopefully Ford will be looking to get some of those out on the road and one will be mine.

Dang!

I didn't want to order in the Fall because I didn't want to get in the Winter. I was planning on a late May early June delivery. I guess it'll be a bit late now

Same here around New Orleans. V-6s are really stacking up on dealer lots; one advertrised in today's paper "20 to choose from". Hardly see any GTs on the lot, perhaps one or maybe two. The GTs coming in are all ordered or sold almost immediately off the truck.

You're Kidding me???

So since I ordered on Jan. 11, I have to wait until as early as July for my car???? Or does this pertain to orders from NOW on??

Let's hope this is a little exaggerated.

I just order a Torch Red GT Convt. last weekend, and I was told May or June. I also was told that if it goes on behind that, it may be labeled as an '06. The dealer told me that the convertibles would be the last ones produced, as they would try and get the Coupe orders produced that have been on order for months.

I've only seen a couple other GT's in Los Angeles so far, but the V-6 stangs are on the lots and on the road. I would be interested in finding out just how many GT's Ford has built and is planning on building for the '05 M/Y.
