Must Have Feature in the Future

Color Changing Paint: http://gizmodo.com/gadgets/chameleon...int-320806.php

Maybe tie it into the MyColor feature for the car? Can you image the end of color debates of which is better with a flip of a switch?

Fascinating technology. Gimmicky application.

I doubt many - if any - manufacturers will implement it.

I think it's pretty cool, but it will only be used on concept cars if at all. There was a paint out in the 80's that would change colors if it got wet, I think. There's just to many little obstacles that will make this impossible to see out in the market.

how about paint that changes color based on temperature.

I remember having some hot-wheels as a kid that did that.

Incredible technology indeed. But of all the things I hope future Mustangs have, this is pretty close to the bottom - right above a vinyl top option.

Yeah, really. So your fenders, doors, and roof (maybe hood) would change color? What about your bumpers? You mean, they'd have to make a whole car out of metal?

Neat in theory, but their line about the parking lot of IKEA is dead on. Every car with that paint that was off would be white. Might make finding your car difficult. Plus, you'd have to leave it on at car shows, for pictures, etc... Good concept, but don't see much practical use for it.

Practical use, no, but if it wasn't too rediculously expensive, there are many out there who would pay extra just for the ability to change their minds on color whenever they felt like it. Most of us like MyColor, but probably wouldn't pay much extra for it. A whole paint job, however, might be nice to change occasionally, and make it harder for the cop to pin that burn-out on you. "No officer, I didn't see a black Mustang go by, but I'll tell him you're looking for him."

Looking at this color changing...Think Subtle.

If we had badging that could turn color with temperature it would be awesome! We could have the "GT" or "SuperCharged" go from body color to black (unless the car is black) when it gets warm. That way you could park and no one knows what you have, but when it is running and warm, the truth comes out.

I haven't changed my MyColor in so long lol.
Probally wouldn't use that soo much either.
Just imagine what would happen if you got keyed or hit or something.
"So how much to repaint this?"
"Alot sir, alot."

Now that's one situation where this feature would be REALLY useful!!!!

Mood ring? How about this? http://alsacorp.com/products/xposure...t_prodinfo.htm

This huge website has some of the most incredible paints I've ever seen. Not many I'd want to see on my Mustang, but some that make you wonder what if... I especially like the chrome paints and FX sheet materials, but am not quite sure what to do with them.
