Can anybody who has this book list more info here, like the author or ISBN?

There is a book circulating at target called Ford Mustang- Forty years of fun

It has a silver metallic cover with the pony and bars on it and runs $19.99.

It covers all developments of the mustang from day one, has tons of concepts from all years and gives great insight into the 05.
Yeah, I got that one. Picked it up at Target in Richmond. Chapter 12 pertains to the 2005+ Mustang. It has great behind-the-scenes facts and figures. I like the chromed dust cover too.

Anyone interested in seeing the evolution of the latest generation Mustang should pick up a copy. Great, sturdy coffee table book, and reference manual all in one!

My girlfriend and I just exchanged christmas presents last night and she got me "Mustang 40 years" by Randy Leffingwell. It's a great book, going back from the first concepts to present. Includes a big section about Shelby and the AC Cobra's with his contribution to the mustang. There's only a few pages about the 05 including some pictures of the concept vert, but it's great. It's about 390 pages.

If you like large full color pictures this is a great coffie table item covering the 40 years of mustang including the 05 (picture of redfire with fanblade rims that are now not avalable till 06).

My wife got me the book "Mustang 40 Years of Fun" several weeks ago, to hold me out till the car arrived. It is a very good book to have around for reference and great photos also. She got it From Target I believe.

I wonder if that is an updated version of the one I have which is called Mustang - Forty Years. It was doen by Randy Leffingwell, w/ superb photography by David Newhardt.

ISBN: 0-7603-1597-3

The one I have is about 400 pages, full color pictures, hardbound, and it is a HUGE book, probably 12" square.

My ex-girlfriend bought it for me, and I imagine it cost a lot more than $20, but is worth it. The book is AWESOME.

The only bummer is that since it was printed in 2003, it only has information about the concept of the 05 Stang, but nothing about the production 05.

OOh, I just found the price on the inside front sleeve...$50. Well, at least that ex-girlfriend liked spending money on me.

Newman, yes it does have info/ pics of the 05. It also goes through the 40+ years of mustang history in print and color pics. As well it shows various mustang concepts over the years. It truly is a very cool book.
