I wish I had seen this car in silver or black - maybe I wouldn't have gotten that "plasticky" feeling as well.
I think the reason it looks more like plastic is because it does not have the metal fleck like most paint jobs have now a days. The metal fleck or perl coat make the car look more like a metal.

I bet money the windveil blue with its metal fleck does not look like plastic at all. Which is what I'm hoping as that will be the color I'm getting

I love the way those pics make the engine bay look. It actually looks good even if it doesnt have a cover. I like redfire out of the 2 reds but im going with black for sure.

I agree Doug. The Wheel Vintiques 18" Magnum 500s will look INCREDIBLE on this car. Care to use your talent to show me what that might look like?

Yes they would but try about $500/per not including tires. WOW!!!
There are others that sell them less expensive but not by much. :bang:

Yeah, but many dealerships will buy and install them and let you finance it with your car.

Every time I see it, I become more convinced that Torch Red is the perfect color for this car. I like the Mineral Grey, but red seems to fit the style so perfectly it's hard to deny.

So then you're going redfire Doug?

I really like the metal flake to the redfire. Plus, redfire seems to have more depth to it. However, I love torch so I'll have to see them in person. From the pics...redfire. It looks more mature, expensive and rich (colour depth I mean).

But torch has always been a "look at me" colour. Its exciting. Buh.....

(sorry, I'm obviously thinking out loud)

I've seen the windveil in person. Trust me, you won't be disappointed! It looks great. Very metallic looking.

I think the metallics do a much better job of highlighting the features of the car such as the curves, recesses etc. etc.. I'm not an expert but I think it has to do with the metal flake enhancing reflections in these areas over flat paint? Anyone?

Dan,

I thought you had decided on Torch. By those pictures (at least on my computer screen) it looks more orange and plasticy that it is in person. It definately looks to orange to me, and from seeing the color in person, I don't think it is that orange.
