This will be my third black car, I love them, but I noticed there are advantages to the other colors in that the lines show more, especially in the grill area. However, when black is clean, I don't think anything looks better, which is why I chose black, either way, you can't lose. I like what the poster who said if it's your every day ride get MG, makes sense.

Black for sure. My second choice would be white with blue super snakes. And third would be MG with blacked out hood and rear.

I agonized over the exact same decision. I was planning on Black. (Had 2 black cars, one was a 88 GT vert) Black is awesome when it's clean, but MG has a certain something. I still remember the first time I saw MG.

I love the way MG changes color depending on the light. Some people say it's too brown. I don't agree. I hate brown and would never buy a brown car. To me it is much more of a bronze tint in the light, and an awesome dark gray at night.

When I went to the dealer and saw a MG Roush GT there was no question.

My decision came down to Black, Mineral Gray, and Windveil Blue. I eventually decided to go with Mineral Gray largely because it is the most elegant and rich looking color on the Mustang. It gives the car a certain appearance of refinement.

The only way I would have gotten black is if I got ICAP and I wasn't sure I could handle red interior for the next 10 years! But Black was a close runner up.

You could always go Mineral Grey with Black Stripes (which looks awesome, by the way)...or vice-versa.
Took the words out of my mouth. I love Mineral Grey, and black stripes look great on it. I may get flamed here, but I personally will never own a black or white car. Just too boring IMO. I like color.

I would be having a real hard time making that choice myself. I personally have never owned anything but black cars, and there is something drop-dead gorgeous about them when they are clean. BUT...you don't necessarily always have the free time to keep them as clean as you should, and when they're dirty, you feel nasty driving it...and your car doesn't turn heads anymore.

Still, for all that, my next car (a Stang!) will either be black or Torch Red. My wife has the equivalent of Mineral Gray on her Mazda 6 (Steel Gray Metallic) and it looks elegant and sophisticated, but somehow doesn't excite me enough to want to clad a performance car in that shade. I'd go Torch Red all the way, but I'm worried about attracting police attention. My dad has the same car as I do -- a '98 Ram Air Trans Am -- except his is bright red with white stripes, and he has cops actually follow him for miles but they never pay any attention to me at all. I've never had a speeding ticket either.

So, given a choice of black or Mineral Gray, I'd say...black. BUT...in the end, it comes down to what YOU want! You absolutely must see both colors in person before you choose, I think.

After I finally made the decision to get an '05 I was pretty much of the mind that it would be black. At some point the thought of getting MG started popping into my head every once in awhile. Black seemed like the easy choice to make, and even thinking about MG was almost like cheating somehow. Within a week or two of thinking that way, I somehow convinced myself that MG was really the color that I wanted and once I made that decision, I have been pretty certain that I have picked the correct color.

There was a recent article talking about tungsten on the '06 Ford GT. Several paragraphs in they say, "This dark silver color also brings out all the design features and the subtleties of the car. In fact, people who've seen it thought we'd added a feature line around the side of the car. It's always been there, but you may not notice it in the car's other colors. Tungsten Silver really brings it out." Even though tungsten is lighter than MG, I think they are at least somewhat similar, so that is another reason I prefer MG.
Here's the link: http://media.ford.com/newsroom/feature_dis...m?release=20267

VVVVV After typing all that I realized what I should have just said, “See my sig.†VVVVV

It depends on how much time your willing to devote to upkeep. I just sold my '94 GT I had for almost 11 years. It was beautilful, but you had to tend to it almost daily. I went for Silver this time. I must be getting old and lazy.

I do love my black car, but it's been three weeks and I've been broken... "I WILL NEVER BUY A BLACK CAR AGAIN".

Is that about the usual amount of time it takes for people to come to that decision?

Ah, I feel better now.... if I were ordering a car I think it would be Mineral Grey.... the second manliest color.
