mineral grey or black clearcoat

I have MG. Love it, but it is real personal. If you love black, and have the time to maintain it, it looks great. I think everyone appreciates the black car; but to choose MG it has to appeal to you. I ordered mine sight unseen, and was real happy how it turned out. Much less work than black; but I don't think I can produce the same shine you can with black. That's okay, though.... don't have the time.

it looks brown at some points.....black stays black and looks amazing no matter which way the light hits

Mineral Gray! I have a black car now. I always say it'll be my last....it's my 3rd black one. Black looks great but it's a PITA to keep clean even in SoCal when it's not raining.

Hi,
The color thing is personal. I originally wanted the windveill blue when I saw the pics. In person It looked kind of dull to me. I started leaning towards Black until I saw the Torch Red which Is just a beautiful color and that was it... The mineral gray is OK but I think for a sports coupe the best colors are always going to be Red, Black, or Silver! My pic is Torch Red by a longshot.

I went with MG. I liked it from the moment I saw it. It looks different. Black is beautiful, as they say, but I just don't have the time to properly maintain a black car. I had a very dark blue once, and I was cleaning it constantly.
In the end, go with what you like.

Hmm... between black and mineral gray.
I like both. As others have said, I think the main question is how much work do you want to put into maintaining it. Black looks AMAZING when clean, but also shows pretty much everything, including small scratches that would be completely hidden on mineral gray.
If you're willing to put the work in, I'd go black. Mineral Gray is a pretty sweet color too though, as well as unique. Not very many (if any) other vehicles are offered in that color.

I've had both. A 02 MG & a 96 Black.
See my signature and see which I picked again.
And I wouldn't trade it for any other color.
