For military overseas if your looking to buy a 2005 they just came out with a new rebate that expires march 31st. Its just $500 but hey thats $500 that you don't have to haggle with the dealer. It should help me because my deal is not closed yet. Here is the site for the military just click on the rebate section off to the left, and click "next" until you reach the 2005 Mustang. http://www.encs.com/

Just as a heads up. After I returned from Afghanistan I checked with a local dealer about the Mustang and they offered me the same military discount as well. Maybe it is a Ford offer for the military? ..rather than an AAFES discount?

A coworker of mine, who's husband is currently serving in Iraq, recently purchased a new SUV. She did some research and found out that she didn't have to pay any state sales tax on the vehicle in Tennessee, because her husband was active military. The dealer wasn't unaware of the law.

The $500 discount is a Military Appreciation discount that is available to all active duty military and their spouses/dependants.

I really wish I was deployed so I could use the exchange buying program. That is the best program ever. They basically sell the car on A-plan + $250 and all rebates are still applicable. Unfortunately for me, it is restricted to those serving outside CONUS.

here...here..here to the Military Buyers discount. That is exactly what I did before the Battle for Fallujah. Figured I owed it to myself if I survived......WELL I DID! Now i get to come home to my hot little fully maxed out babydoll. Can't wait to be cruising in the DC area with my baby. I have already ordered a bunch of mods!

Used ENCS too, I ordered a GT Convertible 1/28 while stationed in Germany but don't have a build date or VIN yet. Was able to make use of an additional $750 rebate that expired 1/28 + the $500 rebate. Wish my car was +$250 as stated but feel its a bit more than that, Also have the ship and ready fee to get it here. Still happy I ordered and can't wait for it to get here.

I bought mine through ENCS as well. I placed my order on July 31st or 2004, picked it up on the 7th of Dec. 04.

I was extremely pleased with the service that I recieved. You have to be stationed overseas for at least 90 days to qualify for the program though.

I ended up paying $24,600.00, that includes the destination charge and a $1000 rebate from ford, taxes NOT included.

If you're in the military it's the only way to go.

Bye the way, this thread really belongs in the main 05 forums, not the tech and performance forums.

Let me first start out by saying I, and my family appreciate everything you in the military do for us. The freemdoms we value are only possible because of the few brave like yourselves. Now, what ever discount you get from Ford, isn't enough. I belive the discount amount should be around $2500. You men and women deserve it. More corporations should have incentives like this. Keep up the good work, and God Bless You.

Bought mine from OMS for significantly below MSRP and dealer prices. Great service, and the car was sitting at a local dealer ready for pick up when I got back to the States. I'm Foreign Service, not military, so the $500 rebate doesn't apply.
