MidWest Rad Covers...Whos Got Them?

I just saw that they are available again, but looks like their were having problems with rubbing and paint coming off, has anyone experienced that? I want to get these because they make the engine bay look really good.

bump ... I didn't realize they were available again - I usually check there at least once a week to see ....
I'd also like to know if its better to go with the glossy or matte finish!

Mine rub a little bit, but nothing major. I have adjusted the hood stops as far as I can and still latch the hood and replaced the fasteners with stronger ones from Midwest. If I did it again, I would buy the unpainted black ones and it would be impossible to tell where they are rubbing. Hopefully, they adjusted their mold with the latest run. Also, it looks like the matte finish is no longer available.

I have the rad ext covers and raised the four hood stops due to what I had read regarding the rubbing issue. Have about 1500 miles on them and no problems. With the raising of the hood stops, the hood does sit a little higher.

I too have them and only have very minor rubbing issues. The rubbing leaves some black but it always waxes off. Here's some pics:

I ordered some black ones tonight. Now I don't have to worry about my tacky welding job around my hood pins.

Hey, thanks Kevin! If you'd like to see the whole car, you can here:

I believe there are some more pics of the radiator cover extenders as well.

At the sake of getting too off topic here, it's actually wrapped in two tone leather, Grabber Orange and Black. MRT-Direct sells them two tone with most, if not all, of the '07 exterior colors.

Got home to find the radiator extension covers I ordered Sunday had arrived today! Took all of five minutes to install, and the material matches perfectly. Great quality and service.

Just ordered up the black ones today. I didn't know they came in that way, and at $71 shipped it's a much more reasonable price. If I was going for a painted rad cover I think getting body key'd would make sense but I just want to fill in that area up front and have it look consistent.

Thanks for the great pics, Joe. Those show the most detail of any I've seen posted. I was going to get a set, but the gaps between the extensions and the rad cover are way too big, IMHO.
