Maybe Red Carpet in the future?
I ordered the Satin Silver on Red Leather. Sometimes I think Red Carpet with Black Floormats (embroidered w/GT...Mustang...or other) might be interesting, or do most people think that the amount of Red in the existing interior is a perfect amount and designed just right (except for maybe the rear doorpanel inserts not being done)? :scratch:

Yeah they are kinda cheap looking. I know it doesn't look the greatest but I usually put clear plastic mats over top of the carpet and mats in my vehicles. Keeps things much in better shape plus it's easier to clean.
Let me clarify, I ordered charcoal mats when I ordered my car...I

Just by viewing photo's before delivery I thought the red mats with the red seats would be to much. As it turns out my car was delivered with the charcoal mats (factory mistake). I like the way it looks and and the charcoal mats don't show dirt /stains as bad.
I really like the red seats and doorpanels but the red floor mats are ugly and out of place. Yank em out, put charcoal ones in and you have the perfect interior.

Back in the days - the days before the car companies found so many ways to cut cost - red interior was red interior. There was also blue interior and so on. Back in those days we got to see the new models and see the real differences - like 54 - 55 - 56 - 57 - 58 - 59 - 60 - 61 - 62 - 63 - 64 Chevys. I can still very easily tell the difference at a glance. These days I have to ask people what year their cars are.
Not only was red red but black was black. The dash steering wheel the whole 9 yards were part of the color of the interior - not so these days. It is just cheaper to put in a few color splashes.
Now for the most part (some exceptions) we are "trained" to accept some variant of gray for most interiors (when the gray gets darker people start calling it black) - it is cheaper for the car companies and we have to accept it.
Motorcycles are the same for the most part. A "red" motorcycle can be a blue motorcycle by changing 3 items (tank - 2 fenders).
I would love to have a white 05 GT with red. Not because I think the color splashes are the way to go - but because I could not get red interior - (real red interior).
When my old dusty - worn out - brain thinks of classic American sports cars the first image that pops in my noodle is a 50s Corvette and it is always white with red interior. It is not white with dark interior with splashes of red.
My vote would be for red interior being red interior - but the last time I left my number for the President of Ford - he did not call me back lol.
