May be saying "adios" soon...

...that's "goodbye" for those of you that don't speak Chinese.

I'm working on a deal now to get into a '08 Pontiac G8 GT. I've owned an S197 for about 3 years but
my 2 year old son and my wife are hard to lug around in the 'stang. the g8s are nice cars with plenty of HP and lots of room. i'll lose some on the trade but i figure it's cheaper than keeping the stang and getting a divorce.

it will mark a sad day if it happens though, i'd always wanted a mustang before i got one, and this is the first "nice car" i've ever owned.

Just think, this Mustang would make an awesome car to hand down to your son later in life......

sorry that's my attempt to guilt you into keeping it lol.

as much as a daredevil as he is already - he's getting a honda civic with a four banger when he turns 16.

of course he's going up for adoption if he tries to rice it out lol.

My only question is the car is 3 years old and the kid is 2.

Are you really that attached to the kid yet?

I've read good things about that G8 GT. Just remind them when they bend you over that you're helping them off-load one of those hard to sell gas guzzlers. Good luck on all counts.

Divorce shouldn't be that expensive.
Child support though....
Good luck with your choice.
Myself, I would just get an old Crown Vic for trips with the family.
Much cheaper than losing on the trade and paying for a brand new car.

the problem is we're both 6 feet tall and it's really cramped with all 3 of us in the car...there is ZERO room behind me and hardly any for the wife/little man.

Don't get a Honda and you don't have to worry about it getting riced out... Plenty of American 4 bangers out there (IMO)

Sorry to see your stang go, The G8's seem like a pretty cool fam car though. Now the real question, What kind of mods on the G8

probably suspension, mufflers, CAI/tune, etc. i'm going to try not to mod it for a year though. we'll see how that works out.

I agree...why not spend the few thousand you will lose on the trade-in and buy a used car?
