I've noticed in some of the first official production photos that there is a chrome manual shift **** with the IUP. I thought the IUP came with a leather wrapped shift ****. Is the chrome one still available????

I Have No Life
Chrome one was replaced by the new one.
New regular **** is a black with white lettering insert.
IUP **** is the same style, only the insert is brushed alum.
Both have a clear plastic cover over it, to avoid the BURN in direct sunlight.

Part of me wants an old school solid round white or black shift ****.
sort of like this:
But for spirited driving, where your hand is on the **** constantly, a leather surface is preferred...

That one would fit nice on an 05.
Not only will the chrome ball get cold at extremely cold weather, but hot at extremely hot weather ie Palm Desert. Firefighters would also come to extinguish your hand

You'd throw it into Reverse on the highway, LMAO!!
I'm j/k. I know you just meant the style.

Actually, I'd prefer that it didn't have any shift diagram on it at all!
I've always considered the shift diagrams to be the most useless stuff ever. It's as if they had arrows around the ignition showing you which way to turn the flippin key.
My first mustang didn't have any shift pattern on the shift **** ('66 fastback with 3spd stick, aftermarket cheapo ****), and I don't see why the new one needs it.

Seeing as that I hated the Bullitt shift **** because it got so hot, I'm glad they changed it

If I had a nickle for every time someone drove my '66 w/3 speed and shifted into what they thought was first and proceeded to move backwards at an alarming rate....
Heh...I guess the no pattern thing is good for an occasional laugh....
