Making the V6 More Attractive

I believe the one thing for sure, Ford should have made available on the V-6, the option of ordering the 17" Bullits from the factory. I bought this set from eBay and put them on the V-6 we have, and it totally makes the car look beefier.

Yeah the bullets are nice. What did you pay for them on ebay? I have seen them sell at good prices for the buyer.

I like the styling stock machined wheels alot also but they should have been a 17" as well as just a finish option over the base painted rim.
sharkstang:
They cost $700.00 including the shipping. They were brand new take-offs and had less than 25 miles on them. Just what my V-6 needed to finish it out. I also removed the black Mustang tape from the rocker panel, which also gives it a much cleaner look.

Not bad at all. I should snag a set now while there stil avalible. I am sure when I need new tires I'll end up spending over $500 for the 16's installed so for a few hundred more I'd get rims. A personally like the mustang logos on the rocker panel although on the color of your car they don't show that well in black. My car is Torch and it works well in black.
Yes, the black sort of blended with the redfire color and the two dark colors made it less visible. The guy who I bought my wheels has another set listed for sale that has 5 days left on eBay. The company he works for removes wheels and resells them. Take-offs from people buying aftermarket wheels and tires, etc. This was the third set I had bid on before getting any. Lost out on the other two, but ended up paying less for these than I was bidding on the others.

My wife surprised me with the Windveil Blue V-6 for christmas and I am extremely pleased with the HP and the manual trans... I added the stripes and the spoiler. Looking to add dual exhaust and ground effects pkg.
I get a lot of people hovering all over my car and when aI tell them the sticker was $19800 they don't believe me. I work at a Ford Dealership and get the D-Plan pricing program and you can't get that on the GT's. Here is mine, what do you think?

I would have bought a GT if it had looked like the V6...money or insurance was not an issue with me...I bought the car I felt had cleaner lines, was more true to the retro theme and had the overall better looks...the V6....The GT has a bloated look with the painted rocker panels, bumper lips, tacky badging and the oversized unattractive foglights....I'll get the V8 only when I can get one that looks like the current V6...but hey..that may not be that far off because the 2007 Shelby borrows it's looks more from the V6 than the GT....

Sorry for asking this, I was just wondering what you consider "tacky badging" and why? I don't see anything tacky on either Mustang model. Just curious, thanks.

[/b][/quote] Oooh, I almost bought a Ranger from greenway recently, the salesman was a guy named Raphie (not sure of last name). My yellow mustang was delivered to greenway but shipped to gary yeomans for some reason where I bought it!
Personally, more wheel options for both the V6 and GT would always be great, but I like the 6 just the way it is. It looks great, sounds great, rides great, and I exptect it will sell very well...
Now, can I have mine, please?

$19800 sounds about right for a stripped 6 with manual trans.

the way these babies are going these days
(dont think it came with stripes or spoiler, but it's still a steal)
thats nice.IMO, the only thing i think the V6 needs to look neicer are some better wheels, and stripes, and lowering. if i had one, thats all i would do visually.
theres alot of potential for the V6. i love it. and i want one....uhh...now?
the cheapest i;ve seen for one BTW is a totally base version for $16988.
and i still cant afford it!

Well did he mean "stripped?" or "Striped?" For a "stripped" version, that seems right for a base model. If he meant to write "striped" and it's not a "stripped" base model, then yeah, it's a very good deal.
