Make your own decision, but I'm incredibly disappointed.

exhaust swap video

The first half is stock, the second half is Magnacrap.

It doesnt sound that bad.

You need to get a sound clip of the exhaust from idle to tached out. make sure it is in 1st gear and the parking brake is off.....then let off the clutch really fast.

You should have put them on Ebay *before* posting this!

Thanks for the heads up, their sound just doesn't fit the car at all.

1. They will get louder with a little break-in.
2. Have you driven it? Magnaflows are typically quieter at idle, and then get noticably louder under load.

Sounds pretty good to me, if you don't want them, how much are you gonna sell them for?

The video doesn't seem to capture the 'low'
Happens in most exhaust video/wavs..if they aren't done with high end sound equipment...it gets lost in translation

But..boyyy those stockers sound pretty slick

I'm really surprised at the sound of the stock exhaust. I may just be content with them

On your video the magnaflows sounded exhausted.

Not sure I understand your problem. I had the magnaflows and they sounded great. A lot better than stock, that is for sure. I then replaced those with the magnaflow magnapacks and they are even louder that the regular magnaflows.

You can even tell the difference in, dare I say it, that terrible sounding video. The magnaflows kick the factory mufflers butt.

I am surprised that inside the garage it is not louder.

I have to figure out how to post my muffler delete sound.

Thanks for the sound comparision. After read other post on the minamal if any HP gain from swapping exhaust systems I think it is wise to spend your money elsewhere. The Biggest HP gain for the money I achevied on my 98 Cobra was swapping in a set of Steeda underdrive pullys.

I'm not sure I'd trust just hearing the sound as the car is in park. At the very least drive it around for a week or so. Have one of your friends drive it (I'm your friend by the way ) while you follow in his car to get a good idea of how it sounds on the road under load. It is definitely quiter, but it is also deeper and sounds pretty wicked as it is idling down from a rev.

I prefer the stock mufflers from that video.

One thing is for sure, the stock exhaust on the car is quite good/loud.

They are not that bad (the magnaflows), but like many have said (and you now agree) probably not worth the $$$.

I still don't get why folks are intent on replacing a true dual, madrel bent, stainless steel exhaust system. The last gen stang...no prob. It was smart mod, freed up h.p. and opened up the soundtrack. But the 05? Sounds great, flows great. Why bother?
