Loss Of Power on Startup... Sometimes??
I have an after market auto start installed on my car. I started it and it revved high for a few seconds and then dropped to sputtering. If I let it sputter, the wrench light comes on and if it does it long enough it will throw an engine light. Usually on cold days.
Turn it off and back on, most of the time it will run fine then. Even the check engine light will disappear (strange) by itself later on in the day.
The code said it was the TPS. Last week, I was about 15 miles into my drive and the idle went so low the car started sputtering and wanting to die everytime I took my foot off of the accelerator. I replaced the TPS and Cleaned the Mass Air Flow Sensor. It ran like it was new. for 2 days.
Now it is back to sputtering when I turn it on. but it takes multiple times of turning it off and on for it to settle and run right.
Help??? I am at a loss right now as to what this would be.

Since it is your first post, welcome!
What model year and engine do you have? How many miles on the odometer? What routine maintenance has been done? Spark plug changes, etc.?

What 07 Boss said! Remove it to clean it. It is something you can do yourself in about 30 minutes or so. Maybe a new air cleaner for good measure. Welcome to TMS
