No test drives unless they have signed paperwork, credit check, and a deposit

 What are they, a cell phone company? And since when do you need a deposit to test drive a car...might as well be sixflags since they're charging for rides.

Thanks for the welcome.

I hope to go to a couple of other dealers this weekend for a closer look and a test drive. According to ford.com, two dealers in South FL, has an GT Windveil Blue 5-Speed Premium.

If I get one this will be my first domestic car (don't flame me, I'm a big fan of imports ).

Dude... just because we're on a mustang board doesn't mean we ONLY like mustangs! I owned an S2000 and let me tell you, it was fast! And Sporty lookin. All in all I loved the car. Just got rid of it and now I'm waiting for my mustang.

$35K???!!

That's insane... leave it to Miami...

I am in the Sunrise area - my brother and I are going this Sunday to a Maroone Ford delearship to order my Black GT - my brother (the negotiator - used to sell cars back in Jersey and eats up the negotiating stuff with a spoon - me, I just sit back and watch him do his thing...) has already been in contact with the salesman so I'll let you know how it goes and how much the price is.

Might be worth it for a trip across the Dade/Broward line to get the car you want.

First of all those two shouldn't be competitors. Two seater convertible vs a Four seater car/convertible. Secondly the S2000 isn't mass produced which gives it a higher price, and its value holds. Third the S2000 is rated higher than all its other competitors including the 350z, z4, boxster, miata, etc... So for its class of cars it is the best in class.

Then you complain about the engine...hmmm...let me see a 4cylinder 2.2 liter pushing 240hp with an 8300 redline rpm. That's 60hp per cylinder, where the mustang is 37.5 per cylinder. Then to top it off Honda puts a 6spd trans where Ford only puts a 5spd.
