I have about a 500 mile drive back home after I pick my vert up (Aug 22 build date) I need some recommendations on music for an mp3 disc. Not just one song but the essential songs one would listen to on his first road trip in a shinny new vert. I like ALL kinds of music so all recommendation are welcome. I will let everybody know what I come up with……

Every 311 song ever made. That comes to 148 songs, and in .mp3 format they all fit on one cd. You don't even need the other 5 cd slots. Music...Done.

I was listening to the Violent Femmes today. I don't know why, but they seemed to fit the car.

I went on a drive -- NJ to Niagra Falls, I took

Joe Henry
Steve Earl
Jackson Browne
Nickleback
Puddle of Mudd
Warren Zevon
Material Issue
Nirvana
Eminem
Bonnie Raitt

Steve Earl Revolution Starts Now is an awesome CD on a long drive. He runs from country to rock.

Have a fun and safe drive

As an 'Old F**t' I like the real old stuff. I have an MP3 CD of the "summer sounds" like the Beach Boys and jan & Dean. Reminds me of the 60's and cruisin' to the beach. What else is a 'vert' for than to go cruisin'.

And ol course you can;t forget "Mustang Sally".

OMG one of my favorite songs EVER!! I have that CD in my "easy to reach CD holder thingy on my visor"
LOL

I would take some 'real driving' music, but also some more laid back tunes, ya know, in the slow speed zone areas.... fast music makes me drive faster... so gotta be prepared

Hard Driving

Well I really opened up the vert this morning on the wa into workand I loved it. I was also really luck the bear was not watching. I was prompted by a song on the radio. Don't Fear the Reaper by Blue Oyster Cult! Now I'm an over 50 guy, but I'm going to put together a CD of that song and others like Steppenwolf, Born to be Wild and Deep Purple's Kentucky Women (and if you never heard their version, DO IT!).
