i did some basic research and the best i can tell is it is about 2,000 over what you should pay; however, you didnt say if it was a premium with leather; if not then another 1500 off that.

That may be right according to a resale book like KBB, but it seems high for a car that only cost $25k to begin with, plus options. The car is soon to be technically 3 years old, and the mileage isn't stellar. I only have 18k on my '05. You may be able to get a better deal this fall on a leftover '07, what with incentives and low financing rates. Used cars typically fetch higher interest rates. It is a combination that I like, though, and a color that is no longer available, if you like it too. I know prices have been going up, but I'd check on an '07 first. And don't pay extra for stripes that you don't like. Make them take them off. (They scratch the car, and it's their problem.) Another thought: They must have put the stripes on either because they thought they'd have a hard time selling it "plain", or they were just hoping to charge extra for the icing. Either way, it could be a negotiating point. Good luck.

Yeah...I think it seems high too......and you do have about point about a possible 07 deal with crazy incentives.

Mineral Grey is an interesting color. I like it because it was only available in 05 but it has lots of brown to it IMO. I like the color better since I had the car striped and it seemed to make the car much more grayish. The stripes might be a plus if they are done correctly. JMO~

LOL Looks like Campbell Ford. They always add crap to their used and new cars to add extra $$. I tried to buy my Mustang from them, even ordered one. But after 2 months of nothing I brought my car from Cass County Ford in Logansport. A Black 07 GT/CS at x-plan.

dont pay that. i paid 20 even for mine and its an 05 with leather premium wheels, 5 speed, pretty much fully loaded....

dont pay over 20 for it. trust me, they will come down. set your price, tell them what it is, then tell them the second they meed it they have sold the car.

it will work. and you will get a good deal

yeah...the stripes are the "incomplete" over the top ones and the rocker is the same styleas the '05 V6 stripes but says Mustang GT instead of just Mustang...and they are both matte black....

...Yeah Darrell...Campbell it is! They always semms to have used s197s there...I window shop for cars worse than my wife window shops for jewlery.

That is my car exactly! I get a lot of compliments on the colour. The red leather is another thing that people think is very cool. That is a fairly rare car with that combination, especially with the Mineral Gray only available in 05.

The price is a bit high, I would offer 20k, no more.

I think the price is a tad high. I paid $23.5K + TTL for my 2005 a few months ago. BUT, it only had 5500 miles, had never been driven in the rain, been in a climate controlled garage, oil changed every 6 months, 6yr/100k warranty, and every option that I wanted.

Don't pay that I agree with everyone else pay 20K. The problem is you will get used car financing. I purchased a used '06 a couple of months ago torch red, iup, stick, red leather, spoiler delete with 9800 miles for 22k got new car financing at the time 4.9% for 60 mon. and 100k mile 6 yr warranty and couldn't be happier. I wouldn't pay a penny over 20k but look for a used 06 with good financing. Good Luck

KBB is a joke. It in no way reflects true market value. It's another scam funded by car dealerships to give customers the "perception" that they are getting a good deal. How many times do you go to a dealer and see "WHAT A DEAL... PRICED BELOW KELLY BLUE BOOK!!!" I'm not bashing dealers. They're in business to make money, not give cars away, but some do take advantage of uninformed consumers. The only true market value will come from NADA. That's the book dealers use to help them price cars and appraise them. Here is the true NADA values (what the dealer uses, not what you can find on the internet) They're asking full retail and thats too high. What you want to do is offer somewhere between retail and trade....I would agree that $20000 is a great place to start negotiation.... Kelly Blue Book is $23700.00 for retail. $1225 higher that full NADA retail. Clean NADA trade is $19550, but chances are, the dealer owns it for less than that. I wouldn't pay a premium for the stripes because 1. you don't like them anyway and 2. the dealer wouldn't off you more if you traded that car in with the stripes....it really adds no value.
