I think this was already discussed, so if it was could you direct me to the thread. I read in the local newspapers about a dealership saying that the mustang would be limited production. Is this true or dealer bs?

TMSBrad 10/27/04 07:45 PM

It's limited--to about 180,000 units per year.

EleanorsMine 10/27/04 07:45 PM

Rest assured......Its just a car. No limited productions or special editions....

Southern_stang 10/27/04 07:46 PM

Thanks, that pretty much what I thought.

darn thats almost as much as 'limited' camry models :-D Toyota sure loves that word, to bad no one ever translated it to them. ;)

Boomer 10/27/04 07:49 PM

Yeah exactly.

Someone saying its a limited edition isn't exaclty lying.

It is limited to how many they can make a year :)
180k-193k

Yep, I remember this conversation on Seinfeld.

"It's a limited edtion, huh?"
"Yea"
"What's it limited to, as many as they can sell?

Hey...if the demand could sell 300,000 than producing only 180,000 would be limite right? lol :)

Amy V6 10/28/04 09:33 AM

I have order number 179,999/180,000 WOO HOO!!!

Deathdealer 10/28/04 09:37 AM

Looks like I may be the last one to get his...what exactly is a "quality hold"?

clintoris 10/28/04 09:52 AM

I'm wondering if they mis-sstated what every other dealer is trying to pull over on people.... a "limited availability fee." It's not limited edition.... dealers are just trying to capitalize on the fact that they are a little hard to come by at the moment...

tell them to pound sand.

clintoris 10/28/04 09:53 AM

I type with a lissssp :gay:

just kidding

thread bump :D

I've talked to 5 dealers, and three of them have all told me the 2005 was a one year only bodystyle, and the 2006 would be completely different. One nearly hung up on me by calling bs on him.

TMSBrad 11/16/04 07:33 AM

Tell them to email me. I'll set 'em straight.

poldrv 11/16/04 07:49 AM

It's amazing what a dealer with tell you to get you to sign on the dotted line. As if any Ford dealer is going to have a problem selling the new Mustang. Heck i was in the dealer showroom yesterday, the only car people wanted to see was the Mustang. The dealer says this is the busiest he has seen his dealership showroom in many a year. Don't worry with the high demand for the 05 there will be lots.

Twilightblu92 11/16/04 08:01 AM

Brad's become the Mustang info bouncer lol
