I hate to pay the high prices dealers have been asking. It won't last forever. Have you seen a break in the prices yet. Because there is not an end-of-the year advantage on 05's, why not wait on an 06?

In driving around to the different dealers in this area, it seems the V-6 verts are not moving. Is the rush over? When will the market become normal?

And one last question......... why are most of the red ones Torch Red and not Redfire Metallic?

Well, with reguards to the color, Ford has probably sold more Torch Red in the past, so it would make more sense from a business standpoint to make more.

I think the rush for the V6 model is over. I was helping a friend car shop in one of the cars she was looking at was the V6. Every dealership that I called was charging MSRP for the V6 while all but 1 was still marking the GT up.

I don't think you're going to have a luck holding out unless you do so for another 8-12 months for production to try and catch up with demand a little more. You best bet is to find a dealership that isn't marking them up and either buy something off of their lot or place an order for a 06 with them.

I would tend to agree and just want to lend my two cents about ordering my 06 GT Convertible - in my area the ones on dealer lots are 4000-5000 over sticker, I cant say I know about the V6's, but I would think they are getting at least sticker for the vert's if not more and sticker for the coupes. My decision to order an 06 was exactly as mustangspeeder said above - I got it at sticker by ordering, becuase as I told a few local dealers - I refuse to pay that much over sticker, especially if you go through cars every few years or so, you would be scr#wed on resale value. Now not only do I have an 06 instead of an 05, its at sticker. Anyway, thats my two cents...maybe more.
