Well, I got lucky. The dealer wanted to clear sold cars off his lot to make room for new models! He rushed getting it preped, so I got to pick up my MG 05 about a week earlier than I expected.

Considering it traveled, so far, I was pleased to find nothing more than a small scratch on one of the brake lights and a minor bare area at the seam where the body parts come together in the rear wheel well (for which I was given a tube of touch up paint).

Today was a miserable day in so many ways that I won't go into, but sitting in my new card made up for all of it. It's everything I expected...and a whole heck of a lot more.

I can't wait until I've gotten through the manual and tweaked everything just right.

And I'm looking forward to doing a lot of driving this weekend, and taking some pictures as soon as possible. (I know... )

My heartfelt thanks to all those who have helped and put up with me over these many months. All I can really say is get ready for even more questions.

Now how about some 'nanners?

Mahalo and Aloha,

Ken

Congrads on the new car!

(But did you really need to start a new thread? This could have continued on your other one. Just an observation.)

Enjoy the new car! :banana2:

Is the old Pali Road thru "Menehuni Land" still there. I think of that road often as I sit here stuck in the desert.

Congrats!

Thanks, all. Having fun on the road. The car feels great and handles really well.

Lots of fun...even in traffic.

Forgot to take the camera today, but will hopefully find some nice spots for pix tomorrow or Monday.

Yup, the old pali road is indeed still there. Haven't been to AZ for a while, but I rememeber some nice drives on route 66, too...

Thanks, guys. Yup, it is the best feeling in the world. I did drive a little out of the way to get those last few pix.

I had a few other sites in mind, but the July 4th weekend was just too crowded. Maybe next weekend...

(The only really "bad" time out here is sitting in traffic on the way to the beach.)
