Kocky Products needs your help!

OK, here's the scoop. In case you haven't heard of us, we make motorsport apparel.

We are looking in to doing an S197 shirt design, but need to know what S197 owners really want to see in a shirt design.

So, I thought I'd throw a thread out here and see what you guys would like on a teeshirt. Keep in mind we'd like to stay in a similar mindset to our other shirts. In other words, bold, in your face statements (not vulgar) that show how you really feel about your car.

And as far as graphics go - would you like to see an actual car on the shirt, or a portion of the car that is very recognizable (such as the horse in the grill, or the taillights)? The 03/04 Cobras were called the terminator, is there a special name fo rthe S197 cars?

Also, keep in mind that we CAN NOT use Ford Logos, as that violates copyright law.

OK, guys, let the thoughts fly, and who knows - if we use your idea, you'll prob. get some shirts out of the deal.

You could have a picture of the mustang grill with the running pony, and underneath have it say

...why do you think it's called horsepower?

No idea (sorry) but if it looks good when it's done...you will get an order from me.

Any idea on how long for production when a design is reached?

Once a design has been done and finalized, the actual printing of the shirts takes about 2 weeks, give or take.

Some good ideas here, guys, keep them coming!

A picture of the front end of a 64.5 mustang and one of the 05 with the caption "the more things change the more they stay they same" or "back to the future" although the last one may infringe on copyright law..not sure.

I like the "more things change" version, heck, I like the "back to the future" version too. Not a copyright issue, as we aren't trying to make a movie with a DeLorean in it...

It would be neat if you could offer a good view of the car in any of the current colors. For instance, maybe a front quartering shot of the car as the "base" of the front and then allow the buyer to choose alloy, tungsten, grabber orange, etc. for the color. I think that would be unique if your production scheme would allow it. If not, please put out a shirt with the car in alloy...

For a logo or slogan on the back, how about "The slow get trampled" or maybe "Pony power = Horsepower".

For a logo or slogan on the back, how about "The slow get trampled"
Now THAT I really like.

Production wise, at most they would be a two color shirt. Most likely, the car/image would be one color, and the text would be a combination of the second color and the first.

Production of different car colors simply can't happen - not nearly enough volume to justify that.

Now, I ask this - if we do some type of version of this shirt, how many of you would step and buy one? I'm not asking for a deposit or anything like that, I just want to make sure the interest is there before I start developing any artwork.

I'm going to make a preliminary descision and say "The slow get trampled" is going to be the slogan, and most likely a front end/grill shot with the running horse being predominant in the image.

So how many of you would buy a shirt like that? Send your friends in here if you would, as I don't hang out in the S197 forums - I'm still in a fox body car...

I'd probably look to purchase 2 of "the slow get trampled" shirts - one for my wife and one for me. And I'm glad you liked my suggestion.

Cripes, I'll have a lot of shirts and books for a car that I don't own yet. Oh well, it just means that I'll be fully prepared for when I order my '07...

I would buy one...I like the slow get trampled too but it doesnt seem as "in your face" as some of your others....those rice ones are friggen funny!!!

American muscle for american hustle...maybe incorperated with the slow get trampled slogan.....maybe one on the front and one on the back....not in your face but catchy in my head...dunno im trying lol

I will think some more

That's true, it isn't as "in your face" as the rest of our stuff is. May need to rethink the slogan a little bit.

Like I mentioned earlier, I've not even started the artwork, so it is all fair game right now. The image shot I'm thinking of would be similar to the image at the vert top of the page, above "The Mustang Source Forums" text. Except the shot would be more of a front on shot.
