Truer words were never spoken. Ultimately, you can either go through cars like Madonna goes through underwear, or you can accept that other things are inevitably going to be faster. But the Grabber is YOURS and that makes it special.

Good advice I got along the way: You buy the car. You drive the car. A few years down the line, you mod the car and make it new to you all over again. I'm in that process, and said the same things to myself you're saying.

Lots of go-fast options available. Tuning, Caming, Forced induction. You could also look at getting a 5.0 crate engine down the line and have the best of both worlds ( I wish my budget would allow for that, but I like my daughter, so I guess I won't sell her into slavery...).

Good luck! And know you aren't alone on this subject!

In this Auto Tech world, the sky is the limit. Options abound. So much available for every Mustang out there.

It could be worse! You could be stuck with a 4.0 V6 with the all telling single tailpipe like me... LOL!

I love my 2010 and have actually beaten a 5.0 on the track,it was a noob driver, and i know that i would have been severly beaten by a good driver, but my 2010 is still a fast car. With a few mods my car can be just as fast or faster than a 2011.

And as for the looks...i prefer the new look over the last one...better curves like a super model!

Nothing to feel bad about, love your car
I never had that feeling of being "less" than any other car, maybe it's just me but I love my car and don't care who passes it lol
I just don't have the need in me to be faster than anyone, though I am putting a procharger on for my own personal speed needs.

Theoretically untrue. Someone has to be the fastest. LOL

Actually the stereotype is more than likely true. I'm sorry, but there are teenagers out there that don't have the work ethic to have enough money saved to go and purchase a brand new car off the lot like the current list of muscle cars.

Then again, I don't see how a teenager who just got there license even has the ability to work enough to make the money to buy it outright let alone work enough hours a week with school to afford payments. And let us not forget lack of credit for payments.

And if they come from a family with money and they buy the car out of their trust fund, again, not earned cash.

That is not to say there aren't many teenagers out there that do have a work ethic and perhaps have worked out some sort of deal with their parents that with money saved and money soon to be earned they will pay it to their parents who have purchased the car for them.

However that is a digression from the original topic. Never sweat trying to keep up with the Jones. As so many said.. it is your's, love it and enjoy it.

If you're handy put a GT500 supercharger on your 4.6.
Here's how...

Fot example... Bugatti veyron 16.4 beat out the SSC Ultimate Aero, then the Veyron supersport beat out the "normal" veyron, and now SSC (Shelby Super Car) is comin out eith the Aero II and its gonna beat the supersport. And before long you can expect bugatti to strike back. Koenigsegg will fit into there somehow

I've seen 100 HP/L at the crank builds - on the ragged edge, sure, but 500HP is a short runner intake, big cams, ported heads, high compression, a stroker kit, tune and full exhaust away.

Yep, nothing too major (other than strokin it and compression) and it can all be done in the garage! Now all i need are the tools, a lift, engine crane, and the skills
