I love my grabber but wish I had that 5.0 motor..

Mike don't worry about it. The 4.6L SOHC is a great engine. Plus you got that thing tweaked from the looks of your mods list. Think of it like the 289HiPo. Back in the day not too many 64-67 Mustangs guys were disappointed they had a 289 HiPo, instead of the new 302 introduced in 1968. Just enjoy that GO Mustang of yours man; if you really wanna' snap your neck get some 4.10s or even steeper gears.

Exactly. The 289 remained my favorite regardless of later engines.
The 302 just wasn't that big of a leap from the 289. Likewise I preferred the 351 over the 390's and up. The big blocks were just too heavy. But that's me.
That carried over the my 'other' favorite the Lotus Espirit Turbo. Even after they changed to a V8 I preferred the Turbo 4.

A new 5.0 would be nice, sure, but I'm very happy with my '08 GT. Its paid for, it is lighter than the new ones, I've done a few small things to "make it my own", and if I want to make it as fast as a 5.0, I could for a lot less money than buying new. There will always be something out there faster than whatever you're driving.
His car still had paper tags.
He started revving his engine and whatnot looking over at me like I was old news.
My wife said, "Oh come on you HAVE to do it!"
I don't street race so I'm not into that kind of pissing contest, but I figured the 100 or so yards to the next light wouldn't be too bad.
So the light turns green and he nails it... I kept up with him for a good second just to let him think he was all that... then I smoked him BAD.
Next red light he wouldn't even look over at me... and there was no more revving to be heard... all I could hear was my wife laughing

This actually turned out to be a good discussion
These kids can't afford these cars let alone the insurance either, its daddy's money. Just enjoy your ride.
The 4.6 was still beating Challengers and Camaro's so don't be too hard on it. Put a SC on it and you'll probably have all the power you'll need. Put on a set of KR mufflers and a KR H pipe and the car will sound like an old school muscle car.
