Hey guys. I thought that maybe you could shed some light on my order information.
I read here that the VIN number is more or less the order in which they are manufactured, and all the other info. So, what does all this mean?
-My last 4 numbers of VIN are 4287
-I haven't called my salesguy for a build date
-Priority 10
-Order type 2 (this is where I am stumped. Other people are either 1 or A or something like that).
-Is there a way that I can tell APPROXIMATELY when it is goig to be built?
-I do know that mine is one of the two first allocated unints.
Thanks for your insight.

No problem. Since you have a Vin # your car probably has a build date. I would just call your dealer and ask him what it is. They should be able to tell you the week it is scheduled. I am sorry but I am not up on the vin sequence so I can't help from just this info.
Congrats on your new car. It's coming....

thanks. I guess I will have to call.
What do I ask exactly? Where do I ask him to look exactly?

Update- I just called the salesmanager and nothing new. There is no status such as built/bucked or even a build date at all. What is happening?

Something does seem odd. If you have had your vin for more than a week, you should have a build date. I would go to the dealer and ask to see the order status report. It should have a line with your name, vin, and schedule(to be built) date. If it says that the date is TBD, that is OK, just a minor delay. I would want to see this in person, on the paper.

Again,
Kevin and Bek...........
What are the odds the Mustang will be part of Fords inevitable spring sale? The more $$ I can get towards her the better.

I dont justify paying $40 more a month in insurance just for some cool sound and a swift motor.
