They're a lot better modified. A tune does wonders.

Yes the car really does 'wake up' with a few minor mods.

My rule is keep the exterior stock and all money to the engine. After installing a CL CAI/Diablosport 93 octane tune....the car was much faster and more aggressive. Top that off with a new exhaust..in my case magnapacks and you have one bad machine.

I've even been able to talk myself out of a supercharger (for now anyway)

I think 300 hp is good enough IMO, if i planned on modifying a stang i would only do a couple little cosmetic mods.

No such thing as "good enough" or "fast enough". There's only "best" and "fastest" in my book. :nono:

My mods will be minor that don't affect the warranty. Other than a C stripe and changing to synthetic oil I haven't done much so far. I love it as is!

more HP and a few tasteful mods for me. The stock car is a great design but minimalist, the mods finish off a great start.

I may tint the windows. If Ford made it as powerful as it sounds and it beats my stock Protege5 (joke) I'll keep it stock till 36,000 miles.

Hey I used to have a P5 thats what I traded in for my stang.

Just the tune alone is worth it.

I'm taking a go slow approach to the mods, but little by little I plan to make minor performance improvements.

I plan to keep mine stock. Basically if I'm still around to see it as a classic, I think keeping it stock actually makes it more collectable especially if it is in great condition. I do plan on keeping this car until I move on to the afterlife. Hopefully that won't be for a long time though. Have you ever seen some of the great stock Mustangs from the 60s and 70s just kept in like new condition. Thats just my opinion. I do think the modified ones are also fantastic, it's just that I don't plan on any mods on mine. Thats what's so great about having a car like this, you can either keep it straight or there are tons of mods and magazines just devoted to our cars!!

being the owner of three big Harleys, I just cant keep things stock anymore, lol...not too carried away though, the new GT will get Eibach springs, sequential tailites and more than likely exhaust.

The Shelby on the other hand is exactly as it left the showroom, other than NOS date coded parts its hard to even tinker with it, you have to force yourself to leave it stock!...that is where the new car comes in

Definitely modded mine, but I think I'm nearly done. I'm leaning toward Bullits and maybe the racing stripes, but anything else would be overkill for me. I wouldn't trade this car for anything. I plan on having her a long, long, long time!

Lol ok then the mustang is the best and fastest with 300 hp so i wouldent need to mod the performance

If i had no budgit, i would get chrome exhaust tips, sequintal lights, Chrome tire valves with the GT logo, interior neon lights under the dash (never outside tho) and MAYBE clear corners.. cuz those yellow turn signals lights stand out and look annoying on some colors.
