Hey guys. I went to the LA Auto Show last night and I went to the Ford booth. The Torch Red GT with the ICAP was there in a ragtop. Here are my impressions (very short).

-The convertible top bulges too high (I know, it's already been said)
-The red interior clashes with Torch. ICAP is too dark for the Torch Red
-It looked great with its top off and looked very sleek.


If you have any questions about it that you think I can answer, just ask. Just know that I looked at it for like 10 minutes, I did not get to drive it.



O ya, they had the Ferrari F430, Saleen Mustang (S281, with the ugly wing), Saleen S7, and a bunch of other stuff like the Ford GT, and Shelby GR1.

I am so sorry guys. I went on the spur of the moment to the auto show and had to go straight from somewhere to the show and did not go home to get my camera. Sorry! I feel really bad because there was a lot of cool stuff there.

If the ICAP clashed with the Torch Red because the seats were too dark. How close would it be or do you think it would look much better with the darker redfire.

A thousand lashes with a wet noodle for no pics.

 

Silver or black with the red seats would have been money.

 

Hi everyone, I am Badandy and I went to the auto show and (shudder), didn't bring a camera with me!

I have to join this... LA Auto-show and no pics...shaaaaaaaaame.

 

I could have either gone to the show (sneak preview) and not gotten pics or not gone to the show at all. I may be going back, in which case I will bring a camera.


6505 Pony- That was my opnion. I have heard lots of people on this site with Torch Red w/ ICAP and say it matches, but I don't think they are looking at it objectively. From what I saw, the ICAP was too dark for the exterior thus resulting in two completely different shades. IMO, ICAP belongs on redfire.

 

I understand it was just your opinion. I was just curious because I'm waiting on a redfire vert w/ICAP and black top. I just have been concerned sometimes if I should have gone with the torch red as a better combo with the top down.

Too bad I'm on the east coast. I would have like to seen it in person. Red can look so many different shades in photos due to lighting conditions, monitors etc.

What do you think, satin silver, red leather, black top......
What color shelby stripes white, balck or red(to match seats)
From now till april...gonna be like 4ever.

Should be a nice combination, maybe with dark gray stripes? Or maybe enough different colors not to need additional.
