Just rolled over 36,000 mile marker
I received my mustang in Feb. of 05 and today I just rolled over the 36,000 mile original warranty mark. Luckily I have the 5 year extended warranty so I should be good for awhile longer... Only had her in for TSB work once... what a great car... It still puts a smile on my face every day when I climb into the drivers seat... and turns heads just as easily!

Depends, do you really think your going to have a 2 thousand dollar repair in the time your b2b is over and the extended warranty coverage takes over
my car was originally purchases on oct 26th 05(not by me) I have 34600 miiles on it and 15 days for my b2b

Got my GT in Sept 05, just turned 44,444 last week. I still have a lot of tread left. I also bought the 5 yr/100k premium warranty.
I took the car in at 38 k (whoops) with the rear seat lever broke and the driver door handle not latching all the way. They told me lots of luck, should have got it in 3 k earlier. The special warranty doesn't cover, even though these items are not mileage dependent. The little plastic lever for the back seat is priced over $45. I replaced it myself. I also have a plastic piece broken on the steering wheel. Glue will fix this one.
But I still love it each time I see her in the parking lot.

Having said that, $2000 is WAY WAY high. Go to fordwarranties .com or check with TMS member 05fordgt, he can hook you up. Post your interest in the From the Ford Salesman section and I'm sure he'll find you there.

O man I did not know everything was not covered in the extended warrant. Maybe I should have read a little better. I cannot wait for the 5 year to run out. I really really want to be blown, Whipple style
