Just picked up a Mustang got a couple questions

Hi guys, been lurking for a long time and finally picked up an 08 v6 mustang.

only have a couple crappy pics

I got it last week and since I live in upstate NY I haven't really even had a chance to drive it much... pure torture.

in the next couple weeks or so I'm going to throw some flat black stripes on it. Has anybody bought stripes from this ebay seller?

http://www.ebay.com/itm/2005-09-Must...ca4019&vxp=mtr

one other issue is that it has different rims than what originally came with the car so now the low air pressure light is on. Is there an easy fix for that? I don't even care if the warning light works, i've never had one before and don't need it now, I just want the light off. I pulled the gauge cluster out figuring I'd just pull that bulb but it has little LED's that i can't even get to without pulling the gauges all apart. Do you think it's possible for the dealer to recalibrate it with these "new" rims?

Hi Andy H,

Welcome to the forum and congrats on your new ride! My name is Deysha with Ford Service, and I recommend you bring your vehicle in to your Ford dealer for diagnosis as soon as possible. Your Service Manager will be able to look into this for you. Let me know the outcome.

Deysha

welcome, those rims are actually a set of the appearance package rims. sounds like when they put them on they just didnt reinstall the tpms sensors. i would try a dealer first or maybe a trusting tire shop you use

The Ebay seller looks good and the stripes are the better 3Mdecals, There may be something in the manual for the tires or go to the dealer if your not sure

Thanks guys, I'll take it to the dealer when it warms up a bit to see what they can do.

zipper, I live in Canandaigua it's about 30 minutes southeast of Rochester.

I'm going to order the decals and a spoiler today and I had one other quick question for you guys.... is there any reason I shouldn't order this dual exhaust, CAI and tuner kit from american muscle?

http://www.americanmuscle.com/frpp-power-pack-v6.html

the reviews seem pretty good but if I'd be a lot happier with the pypes true duel exhaust and a different cai and tuner i don't mind spending a bit more.

Don't buy it. You can get a cheaper tuner and CAI with more horsepower gain. As for the exhaust, I'd go pypes as well, they sound great!! Congrats on your car and welcome to the forum.

Welcome to TMS and great car. Those are nice wheels and pricey. I heard there is a law against disable or tamper with the tpms system, although I could be wrong. I just had a bad tpms strap replaced on one wheel and I think it was$100 so I hope your dealer adds or replaces any bad ones for you. Great color too.

ok, sorry to keep bothering you guys but this is a lot of money (at least for me) and I want to get the best bang for my buck. I'm going to order the pypes today and after reading a lot of reviews this CAI and tuner kit seem like a good bye.

I think I'm also going to pick these up

http://www.ebay.com/itm/05-09-Ford-M...251fe3&vxp=mtr

it looks like the exact same fog light kit american muscle sells but these include the wiring I'll need.... although i'll probably get rid of that junky switch and add something a little nicer.

This past weekend I spent about 8 hours buffing the paint out, man I love this color. This next weekend I'll try to get all my new parts installed.

Yes it's alloy.

And I've changed my mind on the exhaust. I'm just reading too much bad stuff about the drone and install nighmares and stuff not fitting correctly. This kit is $90 more but everybody seems to love it and I haven't heard anybody complain about the drone

I'd prefer to get it from american muscle but they are out of stock so I'll probably just get it off of ebay (same price)

I have alloy as well. Its a great color. Very unique and it is very rare. Plus it gives different looks depending on sunlight and what not. I love it.

That grille your looking at looks better than stock. Are you specifically looking to get one with fog lights

Just keep in mind that you won't be able to just bolt up different mufflers with that system if you get tired of them.
